This video and the Beerwah one have been a good bit of help with trying to work out whether to climb it or not. I've done Mount Barney (Peasants) and Mount Maroon, are they comparable to the glasshouse climbs?
Hi, thanks for watching. Yes - the pressures of early parenthood meant I didn't have time to edit the footage back then. We had 2 trips to the Glass House Mountains (2019 and 2021), most footage from this video was 2019.
Hi, I think good approach shoes are all you need, with good rubber and plenty of tread. I wore 5-10 Tennies but Adidas bought them and stopped making them. Something like the La Sportiva TX range will be great. Having said that, most people just where running shoes, but they're far closer to the at-risk line. On Beerwah, we passed 2 teenagers wearing only footy shorts nothing else, no shoes - they seemed to be enjoying the adventure and didn't want any help - the exuberance of youth ;)
Yeah nah...My late uncle dragged me up this about 20 years ago, took me to the head of the gorilla..... Not keen on doing that again.... Sure, I'm Australian born, been to Glasshouse mts more than anyone....no.....The climb down is worse than the climb up....
Very cool looking volcanic plug. It looks like it is fun to climb.
thanks mate for making this video
appreciate!

You shot this a while ago? (I ask because your daughter looks younger then your current US stuff)

Do you reckon I should bring climbing shoes?
