You should go to Alma Road, ENfield. Those tower blocks are being pulled down now. One is already down and I think the others are due to once everyone have moved out. I spoke to my friend's brother who works at Tower Hamlets Council who said if you can turn off power to the mag locks they will open. The cameras are only looked at if something happens as most record to an onsite DVR and are not accesible otherwise. The motor room cameras are sometimes hooked up to a video encoder but if the internet is off they are inaccesible. The way they open them is by ringing a number which then opens the door so if you can find out these numbers you'll get in. You might be able to get in if you say you are a lift engineer coming to service lifts and ring in advance. If you have a laminatior, print fake passes that say Beno Lifts , your name and Lift engineer or something. But the main thing is you need to ring in advance. Or maybe you could try ringing lift alarm , say your trapped. Go to motor room like 20 minutes later and ring the number saying your there to free the person
2:10 the blocks making up the lift shaft appear to be aircrete blocks which are soft with the texture of pumice stone. So if you get stuck in the lift and the alarm doesn’t work, then if you managed to break out of the lift car you can easily dig through the aircrete shaft wall with a pen knife or similar object lol.
Darnley House exterior is very sharp with that staggered balcony arrangement. Pity about the vandalism... obviously a bit of Singapore-style policing would help immensely! ;')
I was going to ask if you found a fuse box and pulled out the breaker would that disable the magnalock. But then I realised that the fuse box would probably be in the plant room. Damn.
If you want to see another example of the maisonette in a block architecture then Oswell House in Wapping (Raine Street) is very similar internally and externally to Latham House. Doughty Court which is along side it is some quite nice streets in the sky style setup also. Also latham house is/was secured due to a LOT of drug dealing in the block (i think they raided it in june 2018 and found 6 properties all only used to store drugs). Theres a seperate possible cladding issue but dont know the outcome of that.
When seeing the video and the view from Angela's house i seen a few red brick houses and they look very like house's in Glasgow where i used to stay, Can you tell me the name of the street for Angela's house so i can locate the High rise and look on Google maps to see the red brick building please ?
Such a shame this maglock system has been put in place.. I know theft is a big issue, and the system is great for them to ensure a No permit to work = no access policy... but it just really sucks..

na, looks like painted standard concrete blocks, you'd need a lift shaft to have good compressive properties

On some maglocks if you pull / push hard enough you can bypass the lock
Tower Hamlets mag locked doors usually have multiple magnets. They are more secure than many high profile office buildings in some places.
