Hi Kinga. I'm looking forward to seeing St. John's, I used to work on the cruise ships but we only docked there once. I remember seeing there unique style of fishing boats. A great view can be had from Signal Hill, enjoy.

It's a part of a boat. It's a wooden peg used on the sides of a rowboat, dinghy, dory, etc; it's to help pivot the oars. The other meaning didn't come along until long after the town existed. It's very near a town called Spread Eagle and another called Come by Chance. I don't think those are as innocent, haha. Newfoundland's been very isolated from the rest of the world and we still use words from old English and Gaelic, and that's what a dildo was ... back then. Fun fact: Jimmy Kimmel is the honourary mayor of Dildo.
