You answered my many questions about the Parrot. I would consider buying this bird but may have to get flightpad instead of using the phone. Good demo video for sure!!👍👍👋
flightpad is so worth having. It will fly any of the small parrot stuff. I Took the pellet shooter base and used it for an fpv camera mount and power connector.
I have two of these drones and I cannot connect them to my phone. The drones in the manual all say to use Bluetooth however the app provided in the Play Store wants to use Wi-Fi and will not connect. There is zero customer service. Can anybody help?
The range is very similar, maybe the flypad might be a little further, but you can use a Wi-Fi repeater for the Tello which would give it even more range…
Hello, and thanks for te good review. Have you ever gotten to use the built-in camera? Do you know how and where to insert an SD card. So far, I haven't been able to figure that out. Thanks in advance
It has a tiny, low-resolution camera underneath that is primarily intended to keep the drone steady in flight, but can also double as a camera… The app lets you take pictures with it, but the pictures are very low quality (and virtually unusable) and it does not record any video…
rx344 very good! And nice flying, i got two extra batteries, rather short flightime, but without cam and phone, only remotecontroller , i get around 8mins.
Mine came DOA out of the box. This required me to download firmware. Strike one. The drone has no real camera. Strike 2. No stick, i.e no throttle and cellphone controls, strike 3. Back to store.
Most high end drones are constantly improving, so firmware updates are normal. If you wanted to use a controller then buy the flypad or get a Mambo flypad bundle. And the camera is a separate attachment, along with the ball launcher and claw grabber.
Mine also required I download it but the download process NEVER worked. It was impossible to do it via Bluetooth. So, i ended up attempting another download. It counted down like it was downloading for over an hour..but never worked. I have it boxed up to return it.

Can you fly the drone without a battery small thing so i can fly 2 times ??
Great demo. By the way, did you test out the flight distance: mobile phone vs. flightpad?

Is anyone els having problems with the app not working?
haven’t updated it in a while, but I’ll check it out…
Yes, I own a tracfone and it doesn't pair at all. It does the same thing with the dji tello. For me it's my phone though.
I was never able to update mine. It just never worked.

How was it handling if there is moderate wind outside
It does ok, but generally these small, brushed quadcopters work best either indoors or in low-wind conditions…
Mine just won't connect
