I`ve been tired all my life due to Hashimoto. However, recently only I`ve started intermittent fasting and despite getting up at 5 am and earlier, having just one coffee a day and teaching full time in a boys` school, I feel absolutely amazing. I stopped craving sugar, I have more energy and my face stopped swelling (that depends on stress at school, but I try to just go with the flow - I can`t change the world). So, shwey, shwey, I`m getting there.

A glaring hole in this for me was lack of discussion or any mention of the role of infectious diseases. I experienced CFS in my 20s as sequelae from EBV infection, and many people today are experiencing fatigue from long covid. Post viral syndrome is a major cause of fatigue. You would not know this from this video!

My chronic fatigue was triggered by being served infested or contaminated food during an industrial installation job in Mexico for 6 weeks. I went there a healthy, energetic hard working technician and returned with a really disturbed gut, dark brown urin, aching kidneys and tiredness, slumping leggs and feet while walking. From that point on everything went down hill. I developed a hiatal hernia with gas constantly rising from my stomach into my nose and lungs. My spinal ligaments weakened and now my neck and back vertebrae are frequently shifting, affecting my nerves and spinal canal. I am mostly bed ridden. I feel like I have a very bad flue every day, or like being poisoned. My muscle, joint. and ligament cells seem to not be getting what they need, or are not being repaired properly. I can’t deal with being like this. It’s like suddenly paralyzing the fastest sprinter on the planet from neck down at the peak of his achievements and asking him to accept that and live like that. I think he couldn’t live with that. If this doesn’t get better for me soon I will have to consider exiting life early because I cannot take it anymore. 😓😞

They aggravate it until you resolve it. Food is an issue too but yes, that’s the most important to try to solve your problem with the right foods but sleep apnea is huge and you must not leave it out in this kind of a discussion.

That’s pretty real! My husband used to do it every sat and sun! During the week we had a club that would do 25 each night 6:30 to 8:30 pm so fun but work too! I had to quit to take care of parents. That was 6 years ago. Never started back. 😢
