Imagine this guy's aesthetic, and he's slowly walking out of flames from his molotovs, covered in blood and wielding that hook. How would a raider not shit their pants?
Or better yet for settlements fill them with corn! Then in the center you build a giant Cross fill with Children of atom items and that's what you sleep.
This builds backstory is the best backstory out of all of them. I am going to try this build ASAP, I really love the detail in the builds backstory, weapons/armor and darkness. This build actually gave me shivers down my spine.
I always enjoyed the Overencumbered Melee Build. It makes you feel like Jason. Simply put, you pick up everything and bring it back to the red rocket where you live alone. Kill everyone you meet. Use Power armor as soon as you get it. Stealth is fine, but the priority should be on slowly walking towards your foes and stabbing the to death with a machete. Being overencumbered will be annoying at first but the goal of the playthru is to figure out ways to win while moving super slow.

Using the mechanist workbench, creating a catalyst of his enjoyment for terror, he creates his only companion, a monstrosity of metal with the sole purpose to exist to kill along side its master
With this build I like to think that the sole survivor went insane after coming out of vault 111, wandering the commonwealth with violent and deranged tendencies.
I feel like the syringer is perfect for this build, most of the ammo types make sense: fear, frenzy, paralysis. Even the mind cloud one could be useful.
Revisiting for Halloween. Looks awesome! Gotta see what you got planned this year Also, he could make a massive farm, to play into the idea of being a scarecrow
This is my favorite chanle on TH-cam and I am shocked to hear some one call u out and challenge u and I feel u should take the challenge and prove to this person that u r the best chanle on TH-cam hands down
Michael, Scott, dudes...I've been following you guys for close to 4 years now, and I gotta say this has immediately ranked among my favorite builds you've made for any game, just from the back-story alone, though the combat/playstyle sounds fun and fresh, too. Your original Mechanist build vid for Skyrim back in the day inspired me to look at character building in that game in a new way, and revitalized my love for that game, and this has now done the same for me with Fallout 4. I'd LOVE to see/hear an even more fleshed-out telling of Scarecrow's backstory, like, was the psycho who butchered his friend at the campsite the same killer of the mangled body he found in that cornfield as a kid? Things like that, etc. (before you even got to the part talking about the syringes/gas grenades I was thinking in my head that maybe before the war he worked as a budding chemist/pharmacist due to experience being on strong anti-anxiety meds for his PTSD after the shit he'd seen, and had come up with a chemical along the lines of DC Scarecrow's fear gas or something, but couldn't really work in-game with 1 Intelligence, so I like how you worked that motif in around that realistically) Anyway, been awake for an age, so sorry for the long ramble, TL;DR great vid, best character backstory yet, IMO. Keep it up, you top blokes!
Plus I know that raiders are usually high but after watching you wipe out all of their pals you'd think they'd run away or just surrender or at least rehabilitate them
It would be really cool if someone made a mod with the original scarecrow from this story being mutated after the bombs fell. Kinda like the cryptids in fallout 76
I think this actually could do some settlement building without going out of character for roleplay; imagine him building little shanty-towns surrounded by corn-fields, so he can come back and terrorize the residents at night.
Fudge Muppet, I have followed this build however I have a few suggestions. If they have Automatron dlc try raising charisma and intelligence or just intellagence, and have them craft a robot companion, personally I believe the succubus head, barbaric serrated front and back torso pieces and the irradiated arms work best for a fear vibe. These are just a few suggestions to make the build a bit more fun. -Volkun

Everything you said was true besides the unarmed sneak attacks because I still have no companion perks and level on ninja I got a sneak attack with my brass knuckles and it did 4x damage unarmed isn’t ranged so it fits into melee and you could even see the multipliers in the video
as a side build based off of this one, how about a kvrems tooth machete build? in the dark of the night, a blade shaped like that fits right in with a horror theme.
For the max horror feel get “PILGRIM” it’s an amazing mod that makes fallout look more scary and gloomy and it also changes the music and sounds but I think it’s pc only though, I just really recommend it for this build
You guys should make more New Vegas builds. Nothing against Fallout 4, but you can only replay it so many times before its flaws like how the Voiced Protagonist really kills role playing after the 2nd time playing. You always sound like the same guy. That works in games like Mass Effect because you are playing as the same guy in subsequent playthroughs, you're just the same guy with a slightly different backstory and a different attitude on occasion. Which works because the game is designed to make it work, Fallout 4 is a good game, but it's not very replayable as a role-playing game since you're always doing the EXACT same thing regardless of your different decisions. The only faction with a differently designed missions is the Institute. Mass Effect works because it is A) REALLY well designed and b) your decisions actually make a difference in the story and sometimes in gameplay. Fallout 4 was good for first 2 or 3 playthroughs, and I enjoyed the story and everything, but after the first couple playthroughs it's not very fun to play anymore, at least not fun to make a new build. New Vegas doesn't have that problem because your decisions, like Mass Effect, carry weight and affect both the story and the gameplay. Also different builds actually feel different because the old Skill and Perk system forces you to specialize since there is a level cap. Even Skyrims system worked better because getting better at skills you didn't specialize in at the start of the game is really difficult, but not impossible. If you were a Warrior, but suddenly decide to be a mage, it'll make life difficult when you're trying to level your destruction skill and all you have to defend yourself with is the basic Flames spell. But that all falls apart in Fallout 4 because in Fallout 4 you can be good AT EVERYTHING. All it takes is a couple perk points and you're magically able to do anything and it's unbalanced because of the lack of a level cap. In Skyrim if you got far enough in the game where most of your commonly used skills are maxed, but you want to level up, then you have to make them legendary and lose all your perks and skill levels in exchange for continued leveling, which works well to balance the game. Fallout 4 lacks a good balancing mechanic for leveling since it doesn't have a system like Skyrims and it doesn't have a level cap like New Vegas. Keep in mind, I do like Fallout 4, but overtime I've just recognized that is a VERY flawed game. (BTW, when I was talking about Mass Effect I was mostly referring to the Shepard Trilogy, because, while I like Andromeda, the Shepard Trilogy was better)
insanegames I agree, i played different builds from fudgemuppet to spice things up but advancing in the story with the same choices and consequences made me pretty burned off. I wish beth would sell the ES and Fallout ip to another dev.
@@philippelavoie7418 Why sell it? They made Fallout 4 and Skyrim to bring in new players and try out different things to make the games different in the long run. Yes I hate the voiced protagonist in FO4 but I love the fact the level cap is gone.
Trying this build out now. Regarding Idiot Savant, I always heard that someone crunched the numbers and the sweet spot was Idiot Savant with 2 ranks and 2 in intelligence, it only procs slightly less often but that extra boost to int more than makes up for it. Could be mistaken but that's what I heard.
HAPPY EARLY HALLOWEEN! This is the best way to enjoy playing a horrifying corn-field inhabitant! Much love for all the support and early viewers
FudgeMuppet do more content there's more games then fallout and skyrim out there like the witcher 3 beats them both combined
FudgeMuppet do a Rick Sanchez fallout build
Do you accept HX's challenge?
modded content please!!!!

They definitely would :P
Shit Nukes I think they would probably throw up, shit, and consider suicide
If they're not wearing any
I would give mine an NCR ranger helmet and mask, just to have those evil red eyes that pierce your soul through the darkness.
Shit Nukes+ are your nukes made of crap, or do they just explode in a big bloody poo mess?

There should totally be a unique sack hood that has red glowy eyes. It would look AWESOME!
Jimboola mod anyone??
Brewserker - top man!
I just love scarecrows in general. No explanation. They're just awesome
Tried the build, didn't scare any crow, 0/10 literally unplayable.
It's because they're synth crows! ;)
FudgeMuppet no excuses the crows didn't even notice also I don't get any notifications from twich channel plz help

Wakko Sick you can also use the perk where you teleport to people in melee vats?

Wakko Sick favorite build idea I've ever heard

the HASH SLINGING SLASHER

Yeah, just chill In your corn field all day lol
I'm going to try this build in New Vegas using the Field Hand Outfit and the Lobotomit Mask.
that'll do orphan, that'll do
Another awesome character to try. Thanks for never letting a great game get dull guys. Good job as always.
You may actually be the only streamers I can actually watch, as you'll most likely be doing it during the Australian daytime.
Not only do you create interesting characters, their background stories are very nice too!
Was he born in Derry Maine
is he one of those ''walk ins''
It is here
sorry guys just realised i referenced the wrong stephen king books. my bad
Probably, he's also most likely a psychic or struggling from an alcohol addiction.
we all float down here

Fun fact: Marvel also has a Scarecrow character (and with the same name, too). As for the build, excellent work, guys.

I haven't played FO4 in so long, but this build seems great and I'm trying it out. Thanks fudgemuppet.
Where's the fear gas though?
(Also, Harvey Dent, can we trust him?)

Fudgemuppet really going to town this Halloween. Two new builds in the same week both Halloween themed
Thought i saw this in concord at night. It turned and looked at me. I had to change my jumpsuit several times. Skidmarks stain, man.
at around the 12:30 mark the only thing i was thinking was "you'll float too" over and over
Still great and adds much needed depth to the fallout four gameplay
This build automatically makes me think of the son Dead Man Walking by Bloodsimple.
It would be really cool if someone made a mod with the original scarecrow from this story being mutated after the bombs fell. Kinda like the cryptids in fallout 76
I remember making a Scarecrow and Joker build in Oblivion years back. Good times.
I'm trying this build, albeit using a Deathclaw gauntlet and the disciples cutlass as main weapons.
Also, the syringer rifle.
Again another great build. You guys have the most amazing way of putting a build together.

Fallout 4 lacks a good balancing mechanic for leveling since it doesn't have a system like Skyrims and it doesn't have a level cap like New Vegas. Keep in mind, I do like Fallout 4, but overtime I've just recognized that is a VERY flawed game. (BTW, when I was talking about Mass Effect I was mostly referring to the Shepard Trilogy, because, while I like Andromeda, the Shepard Trilogy was better)
insanegames TL:DR. I'm kidding, I hate people who say that. I completely agree with your opinions.
insanegames I agree, i played different builds from fudgemuppet to spice things up but advancing in the story with the same choices and consequences made me pretty burned off.
Alright FudgeMuppet this is a pretty bad ass build
Thank you mate!
