There is a mini paradise located in Sharjah called Shark Island.
Off the coast of the Khorfakkan public beach, this small rocky island is an underwater marvel for everyone who enjoys snorkeling, scuba diving and swimming.
Sea anemones and turtles are a treat for snorkellers, while divers flock here for the beautiful rock formations teeming with moray eels, rays and Arabian angelfish.
Shark Island is located a short boat-ride away from Khorfakkan on Sharjah’s east coast. It lies just out in the bay, tucked behind the port at the southern end of the beach.
The Khorfakkan beach runs three kilometers long. It is located in the north of the city and it truly is the most priceless possession of Khorfakkan. This beach hosts numerous awe-inspiring activities ranging from cycling to parasailing. Yes! You heard it right.
As a family with children, choosing a nearby diving centre for guides to the island is highly recommended.
You can easily rent equipment for a dive, or fins, snorkels and masks for snorkelling. The sandy Sharjah beach is also a perfect spot for a picnic.
Enjoy the best of Sharjah weather on this island, where there are plenty of things to do with kids and adults alike.

1) First you need to reach Khorfakkan open beach

2) You can find many boats which goes to the island, You can check the pricing for the boat and even try to bargain, The rates which i have got was as below,
If it is pooling- 20 per head
If it is individual boat - 150 aed
I am mentioning the details one of the boat captains in Khorfakkan beach.

3) They will bring you to the island and drop you there if you have chooses boat pooling, so in an hour or so they will come back to bring you back, So for an hour you can enjoy swimming and enjoy the beauty of the island. If you choose individual boat then they will wait for you until you finish.
4) Bring your swimming dresses, underwater glasses, slippers for having full experience of the island

After watching this video we ended up in Khorfakkan real quick today. Sad to say the island is close for stay. Skippers ask us for 300aed for 1 hour to sail to island, but its not allowed to stay ☹️ anyways. We will enjoy Khorfakkan beach 😍

Its hot there but still manageable, There is no over night stay!
Are there boats/skippers on weekdays? Or just weekends?
Only weekends mostly available, Weekdays it’s available but not sure always.
