After doing cruise ships for 8 years I came home and wanted to pick up teaching again. Guitar Center offered me an 80/20 split where by they charged students $100 per month, kept $80 and gave teachers $20 (not per lesson, per month). It was explained to me that this was a good deal because they also compensated minimum wage for the time I was there. I respectfully declined
That is comically horrible. Likely the reason none of my local GC stores offer lessons any longer.
You took the right choice
Same. Worked at Guitar center had 20 students who wanted to do 1 hour lessons. One hour lessons are 50 bucks
Guitar center kept 45 and Gave me 5. NEVER was it talked about or even mentioned in my interview that that’s how it works. Quit immediately and been solo ever since.
totally unrelated but at 2:04 in this video it looks like a sticker on the laptop for "Wait For Love" the Pianos Become The Teeth album.... is it?
Hi Mr. Orlando ❤️❤️
My point of view of a REAL job is the one you love/enjoy spending time in it. That passion that makes spark in the eyes...not a $7 hr or a "make me richer by selling this amount, so you can eat better". The real job is you now been in complete control, the one thing that was born with your self, music. 🤘🏻😉🤘🏻
Good shit man 👊🏼
Not getting paid for teaching is CRAZY. They are taking advantage of people. That is not right!
