I have to agree with you, there's something in Yoohyeon's voice that always gives me goosebumps. It's the little vocal inflexions that she does. Very unique. I love Lullaby but I'm always a bit sad that Dami and Gahyeon didn't get many lines. Sadly, it happens quite a bit in their first albums BUT thankfully, in the last few years, the line distribution has been quite fair and every members had the opportunity to shine. They are all so talented ❤
Agreed with everyone here, Siyeon's soul stealing started for real for real in Scream era. You can tell she really grew into herself and her confidence and found her style.
Siyeon's visual appeal starts in What era because that era actually gave her something to do. The stylists also started working with their features cause they often aged Handong 10 year badly with the styling too. Tbh What is Siyeon's most underrated but loved era for a reason cause she finally got to show off her stage presence properly. And tbh it's not like hfe particularly cared about putting anyone other than JiU and Yoohyeon on screen much at the time with Gahyeon and Handong sometimes getting barely a fraction of their screentime (deja vu, fly high, what, etc) sometimes don't even show them for more than one or 2 shots at most. Deja vu in particular is notorious for its horrific screentime distribution and treating the girls like background extras to them with gahyeon and Handong not having any actual shots after the opening despite Handong's iconic line. And sleep walking is honestly just a Yoohyeon solo ft 3 other members and Handong, Gahyeon and Dami just making a noise once or twice. Sacrificing members for storyline and all that but watch people defend that with their life. It affected Handong so much that she even said on youth with you that she got so little screentime and lines in DC that she felt the need to prove herself. And the moment she was put on stage she was actually insane there cause she had actual parts.
Leez and Ollounder intros are legitimately my favorite intros from any producers and they, imo, were instrumental in establishing Dreamcatcher's unique sound. I know Leez has moved on to do other projects like with Ateez, but as a long time Insomnia I'll always be proud to say Im a fan of his musicality and the friendship he had/has with the girls. (Same can be said about their long time choreographer Hwang Sooyeon who has been doing some cool stuff with Red Velvet and Mamamoo on tours this year)
This is my opinion, from watching a lot 'Western' reactors. Most obviously pick out Dami first, she is the most unique and Westerners love their rap (which is my least favorite music genre, but love it in Kpop). Than Yoohyeon stands out I think, because to me, she has a very western tone and her voice is great for R&B, which is also very popular in the West. Yoohyeon is probably my least favorite tone (I still think she is an amazing vocalist), I came to Kpop for something different. And JiU, Siyeon, and Dami fill that hole, that have fairly unique tones to me. All the girls are great though. (If curious, Siyeon is my bias.)
Yoohyeon also has my favorite vocal tone in Deukae. I feel like her voice could fit anywhere and that goes to all the girls as well. Even from their very beginnings, Dreamcatcher are performances is all sense of the word. Insomnia for life!

Yoohyeons voice was definitely my favorite until i got to hear more from Dongie. The fact that you compared them makes me realize maybe there's something to that. Some quality they share that I really like in singing
