The POP goes punk albums come to mind for this (they might not be the best covers, but they get the idea of a different take on whatever song). For example, if a dubstep artist were to cover a song, it would be stupid if he got s band together to play the same instrumental parts that the original does. I'd expect to hear a dubstep version of the song! Otherwise, it's less of a cover, and more like performing the music (like how a modern orchestra doesn't COVER a piece by Mozart, they PERFORM it).

This is the only cover off the tributes album I actually like. The difference between the original version and this version of the song (in my opinion) is that the original was more based on sadness, while I get more of an angry vibe from this version. I like it

They were asked to do the cover as a tribute and they did what any good band does with a cover. They made it their own. Oddly enough my least favorite cover on the album is by my favorite band on the album - creeper. I liked that the tribute album didn't enlist all super huge bands for this tribute, but more for lack of a better term "up and coming" type bands. I discovered a few bands through this album that I absolutely love now including creeper, new years day, ghost town and others. I dont think I would have found some of these bands without MCRs music 💜

The screams towards the end brought me right back to the release day of "The Black Parade," all the way back in 3rd October, 2006 when I was 15, listening to the CD for the first time... a really great cover~

Even though MCR is my favourite band, I dare to say that if this doesn't tops the original it gets on par with it, AT LEAST.

Despite how much hate this album got from die-hard MCR fans, _(I'm not saying they're bad, just the backlash for this album was RIDICULOUS!)_, this is seriously a good cover. It gives it a more epic and more intense feeling, in my opinion, the original song is amazing, I like it. But this just gives me a whole new feeling that inspires me to draw more (I'm a digital artist).
I didn't like Creeper's cover but Will has the same gritty vocals as Gerard did in bullets, I just think people don't like it because it's not like the black parade style at all
