Graham Mertz had a qbr ranking of 36 last year and essentially was unable to consistently complete a pass downfield more than 15 yards. He led the Gators to a pathetic 5-7 record last year and no bowl game. I wish Coach would stop blowing smoke up our butts. The Gators will be lucky to even win 5 games this year.
Hard to throw downfield when the O line doesn't give you time to do it. Graham is more than fine, it's the Oline that worries me
Completed over 72% of his passes last year the defense lost 7 games last year
Hard to complete a long pass when you’re running for your life. The issue wasn’t Mertz, it was the O line.

No doubt I agree with the comments for the most part. MOST of the time they tried to go downfield mertz was feeling heat. ALSO when your defense is brutal teams know you gotta press to score often and score quick which again makes deep throws harder because they it’s coming. Also pearsall was great but we need some wrs with some size. Hopefully it’ll be better this year we’ll see
