We need more of these type of episodes from Dr. Terri. We all struggle with self-sabotage and learning how to overcome will actually help many of us to get to the destination. A master class is in order from Dr. Terri on how to overcome self-sabotage.

I read somewhere that people achieve the level of success they think they deserve. Large people often have low self worth so have a hard time dealing with success and so they self sabotage to get back in their comfort zone.

OHHHH I love this, I have had to work through this myself. I"m still working on it. Getting the negative attention when I was thinner, being called fat then I was thinner. Having a fear of getting pregnant. I know that one is weird and I have an iud, but it's still a huge fear as two of my four children are birth control babies. And my youngest is 21, so no, I can't even imagine, but this stuff is real. It's a work in progress.

Sorry but I’m not afraid of success or failure. That is the same gaslighting that has always gets thrown at compulsive overeaters who are metabolically sick.

I'm glad it's not an issue for you but it is for some people. She's not saying it's the only reason people don't achieve their goals or that everyone has this issue. Just that it's a possibility and something to consider.

This was a good message for me to hear. Often thru the years when people start commenting on my weight (thinking they are being encouraging) that’s when I start self sabotage. I absolutely hate it when people remark on my weight (good or bad) or my food choices (or lack of).

I was watching some people talking about studies saying that autophagy in mice started at 16 hours, but the equivalent in people would be 4 to 5 days!!! So it seems like short fasts do not work for autophagy. Can you please address this somewhere? I heard this from Physionic, Dr. Brad Stanfield, Nutrition Made Simple and others. it left me confused.
