As I said in the video, I don't want this video to disrespect Ramadan. Especially now after filming the video, I have so much respect for everyone that does this every year without fail. This video was filmed about 3 weeks ago hence no mention of everything going on in the world regarding the black lives matter movement. I work in nursing and whenever I could switch my night shift with the staff that fasted for Ramadan. So much respect I gained working 12 hour shifts with some co workers fasting and we switch breaks with them so they can go pray when they need to! So beautiful! Such will power. 🙌🏻
My sister is a nurse and thank you for being so understanding and doing this for the Muslims during Ramadan, really respect you for this 💓💓😩

Something I love about Islam is that no matter what your background is or no matter where you come from, you’re always welcomed with opens arms and seeing this video of him trying and all the supportive comments is so wholesome.

Michael it’s great really just like sharky said in the video the first few days are quite hard and the days when it’s really hot but other than that i love it..the vibe whilst fasting is just so different and the vibe is amazing 😊
I highly doubt he would've got cancelled simply because we tend to respect anyone who want to even try fasting. It isn't easy and anyone who tries deserves our encouragement.

The main purpose of fasting is to aim for taqwa (God consciousness). When the stomach is empty and the body is weak, the soul is more conscious of Allah and wants to connect more spiritually. Respect to you brother for your effort. May Allah guide you to the truth. Ameen

I started fasting when I was 7 years old. Just because I wanted to do whatever my family did and I’m thankful I started fasting at a young age so it gets easier as I grow up.(edit: I love this video it makes me happy).

No offence, I’m not religious and I don’t favour any religion over another, as they’re equally stupid and completely without logic for me, but I want to ask something. If more people should experience other religions then did you actually try to experience Christianity, Judaism or Buddhism by yourself? Did you celebrate Easter or Hanukkah ? I suppose that you haven’t. For example I definitely won’t support or celebrate religion in which you can be stoned to death or executed for being part of the LGBT+ community.

I have been fasting every year when I was 7 year old, now I’m 14 and I must say it is probably my most favourite time of the year, not only because it is very rewarding, I get to spend so much more time with my family.

Honestly appreciate your patience not only when fasting but afterwards. When your hungry your easily irritable but when they forgot your chips, gave you the complete wrong pizza and driving to the closed Starbucks, you weren’t raging but very calm. Amazing! hahaha.

I started fasting when I was about 7, and I'm now 15. It doesn't even affect me anymore. Once you're in a cycle, I don't feel thirsty unless I play football 30 mins before sunset
