@@zacrusk5274 I'm talking about the ocean catching fire due to gas coming out of a well a couple months ago in the gulf of Mexico. Looks like a demon is spawning. I've never seen the ocean do that before. I have no idea what you're talking about. But in many respects WW2 is pretty recent. So...yeah.
"The ocean has always been wet, and has always been salty, but you couldn't set it on fire. Now you can. Now WE can." A video that's aged like a fine wine in 2021.
I was skeptical at first, but they sold me on the fire bit. I mean, that is an excellent point and I think generally anything is improved by gaining that attribute.
It really is amazing how professional wkuk are with ther commercial parodys (it may sound like an insult but the other comedy groups i follow are no where NEAR as professional as wkuk)
Its there through the whole sketch. The reason you can't see it much in the beginning is because the font color of it is white so its hard to see when the background is white too.
First WKUK predicted the Star Wars sequels and now they correctly predicted the ocean will become flammable. WKUK aren't comedians - they are prophets.
They didn't predict anything when this show was still on the air the 2010 BP oil leak was happening so this is satirical commentary on an event that was happening at the time so It's not a prediction on the future but social commentary from the past that's still relevant Because humanity doesn't learn and we don't do anything to prevent it from happening again
I like how the solution to the problem is not to just make things safer, but to take the much more difficult, time consuming, and costly solution of just making things enjoy the pollution.
This is funny.. I worked on a boat that would ferry around BP scientists who were making assessments of the conditions around the rig after the BP leak.. This was their attitude when it started sinking to the bottom...
"...a series of bacteria, like Alcanivorax, which is an oil-eating bacteria found in the ocean. This bacteria only "blooms" when oil is present, and then it feeds on chemicals found in crude oil. According to a team of scientists working on the study, there were large numbers of these types of bacteria present in the Gulf just one month after the leak began, and they had quite a feast."
@TronitusTheGreat They said Unified Petroluem, which is probably referencing BP and the huge oil spill in the gulf of Mexico, rather than a video game (fun though it was)
Because it was on T.V and then recorded, forgot if that was just for that sketch or for the whole episode when it aired, think it was the whole episode.
I think "a bird that likes being sticky" is the greatest quote ever.
It frees the bird from the time-consuming task of catching insects by turning its feathers into natural flypaper.
"But dammit if we're not trying" 😂😂😂
I almost lost it here lol
Damnit Timmy, lol
You couldn’t always set it on fire; now you can... now ~we~ can
"The ocean has always been wet, and it has ALWAYS been salty, but you couldn't always set it on fire..." Great line.
Now you can. Now... WE can.
The ocean is an environment, and "environment" and "everything" are the same word. I learned that from Dr. Jordan B. Peterson.
A dollar for ever million we make hahahaha
As a mother, I like that
Liked at that one
As if they would donate that much.
So, it's 2021 and we actually did set the Ocean on fire with an oil well recently. Nice job guys. Gunna miss you Trevor.
"we live in a society" - the post
Also you should not live under a rock and realise that it's been on fire many times before, the world isn't ending.
69th like
Recently? Is ww2 recent to you? Lol

Its nice to see a great comment that doesn’t just flat out say “RIP Trevor”
" not a scientist -- paid actor " LOL!!
hollowpointkid I’ve seen this sketch at least 10 times and never noticed that😅😂😂😂
One of the best WKUK sketches, you'll always be missed Trevor
"but damnit if were not trying"
Good ol' science.
Ya.... It's Science's fault. Science, damn you!
DTMharlot No, it's homophobia's fault. CURSE YOU, HOMOPHOBIA!

Holy shit 10 years and nothing has changed.
Except the ocean has been set on fire

now We can set the ocean on fire holy shit
Lol we did this year
Yo that scientist is making tide pods
so clever, the attention to detail is superb. exactly like an pr advert a company would pay millions for

Great satire
@Trantor The Troll what do you think satire is
"Unified petroleum donates $1 for every million it makes" LMAO!
A lady goes to red lobster one day and orders the Alaskan king crab legs. The waiter say: great choice, regular or unleaded? 😂
Man, Darren was really convincing as that woman.
And Sam sold that bit as the little kid
@@TimThomason True talent right there.
favorite skit of all time
WKUK spot on with a shockingly accurate portrayal of every PR crisis management commercial ever lmao

Anyone at the start thought the beginning was a real commercial? 😂
Yep, and I've seen this multiple times lol.
only cause youre a hillary supporter
brian lash lol dude chill
I don't know whether to laugh or cry.. this is exactly the sorta shit these companies will push
“Quote from the video”
I like how being able to set the ocean on fire brings us together! "Now WE can!" I've never felt more belongy.
Back when oil spills were the worst thing we could imagine happening to the environment
I'm a huge fan, this literally blew me away.
Thats funny how Trevor vents his anger of the stupidity that happens in the world through his sarcastic shows. HE IS RIGHT THOUGH!
I fucking love WKUK!!!

Trevor Moore is literally the funniest person
RIP
eh he's no timmy but he's ok
@@smitty1647 He's dead
timmy played two characters in this one
Timmy's character at the beach im the end of the sketch is the same one
This is the same kind of quality satire the onion used to provide.
oh.. man weird seeing this in 2021 and the sea was just on fire
I can imagine south park basing an episode off of this
Bet you the Simpsons will do it first.
Dustin Bannister 😂😂
WKYK, miles ahead of history.
Damn, by season 5 they really got good at dressing up as females, you'd almost think it wasn't one of them in the intro
I fucking lost it when Timmy turns around in the lab coat, "as a scientist" I just know this is going to be good...
Oh, great. You watched the video too? Good for you.
I lost it at "but you couldn't always set it on fire"
this season has turned out really well
love this lol shared it on facebook

If you look closely it's there the entire time. Mostly it's just the bad contrast so you can't see it.
this was a hilarious thing to see last year onb my birthday
"Fishes that breat oil and birds that like being sticky" LOL
they always do a great job when they do more topical subjects
And whats most amazing about this new *close up shot* oppertunity *fade away* lol priceless

Natural selection makes me smile. :D
PragerU coming with the facts as always
Rip my man.
an ocean you can set on fire? im sold

TH-cam won't let me add the URL but the video is called: Still Working & Committed and the channel is BPplc.
Fish have always been slippery. This oil opportunity will just help fish become what they were born to be. Sometimes things just work out right.
But you couldn't always set it on fire, but now you can
That zoom-in at 1:14
amazing 🤩
the ocean has always been wet and salty... but you could never set it on fire! lmao
holy shit, this sketch made me lol over my keyboard
i started paying attention at ocean 2.0 cuz i thought it was an advertisement
Wow I never thought of it like this.
whnice. i love this .. ! hold on, did timmy just poop his pants in this local fake advertisement
Not a scientist, paid actor. 😂
I was looking for the skip ad button
Look mommy there's a rainbow on the water!

Hilarious how this aged with those new bacteria that showed up and ate a large portion of the spill.
I'm sold.
Woahh this is so great
"nut now you can set it on fire." I loled so hard!
Brilliant!
why can't we have birds that like being sticky? or rabbits that wear glasses for that matter? I like how UP thinksm. they're really forward thinking!
NOW WE CAN!!!!
Yah! Now we can set fire to the ocean.
Is that young Dexter?
Who else went back to see what flashed in the bottom left corner around 1:56?
Does that mean D'Artagnan and his fiancee can live on the ocean floor now?
lol when the video started I thought it was just an advertisment.
Timmy was holding orange soda 🍊
The ocean is the Earth's toilet.
No worries.
@CybertechWKUK hahaha your one of the WKUK guys. cheers!
If BP did this I would love them
It's Clint Webb all over again.
"Now we can set the water on fire"(basically what the 'scientist' was saying)
