Fun Fact: In a TV interview, Lara Fabian said that at a pause in their rehearsals for “Ti amo cosi,” Aida Garifullina (the lyric soprano) commented, "Hey, if I have to run out for something, he can sing my part." Aida burst into laughter, then Lara and Dimash joined in.
Let me give you some info on this incredible trio and event: • Igor Krutoy, the pianist, is there as an overall lead because the event is built for him: this is his birthday event that he organized with all his favorite artists, the ones that he is used to collaborate with and the songs he has composed. Igor is considered as the godfather of the russian music scene, a bigger equivalent for Russia of David Foster for North America. • This is not the first time that Lara sings this song (composed by Igor) in trio but the third time: she performed in the original version with Dmitri Hvorostovsky and Alina Yaroyava then again later with Dmitriy and Sumi Jo, before this new trio with Dimash and Aida. The song was composed from day one with her voice in mind. She has been collaborating with Igor for more than 10 years, they co-created many songs together and he has told from her that she is “the best singer and the best songwriter he has ever worked with” • This also explains why the song does not expose more of Dimash’s upper register: it was written for the late Dmitri who was a pure baryton. • Lara was very very sick that day, with fever and strong medication but she is skilled enough to have made it unnoticeable • Also, like Dimash, and even if the song was composed that way with her in mind, Lara does not sing in her real « comfort zone »: she is, as Aida, a lyrical soprano but here she plays the role in the trio of a mezzo-soprano and takes the median register. It requires a lot of voice control to not interfere with Aida’s high note and does not allow her to really shine. She gives room to Aida to do it instead and Aida uses this magnificently. • It was the first time Dimash met his idol Lara (he is a fan since he is a child and he covered several of her songs such as Adagio, Love of Tired Swans, Mademoiselle Hyde, Know, … / she influenced him a lot on the way he performs and builds his songs) : look how quickly he turned to her, despite he has not finished his duo section with Aida 😂 And how he looks at her and hold her after it … • Lara is the most comfortable in italian because it is her first native language even before french: her mother is italian and while born in Belgium she spent her first 7 years in sicilia before returning there. She also is married to a sicilian man • Look how dimash slightly adapted his vibrato to better match Aida or Lara • Also there is a debate about the final note, held for such a long time, with the conductor looking at Igor and Igor smiling: Did they make a prank to the singers by extending this last note? Or did the singers instead played with them? I personnally think this is more option 1 😀 • I forgot to add that Lara has been classically trained for more than 10 years at Brussels Royal Conservatory and still continues to receive voice lessons on a daily basis. And she has sung many times opera pieces or with opera singers. • Final note to say that Lara Fabian wrote the lyrics of the song Your Love for Dimash
Dimash loves Lara Fabian. You should/have/must react to her Je suis malade. Goosebumps, the singing, the "acting", the emotion...no wonder she's been Dimash's idol for so long!!
Lara Fabian is 54 years, he said that she is his inspiration since he was just a kid. One add information, she was sick that night. There is a video of them rehearsing the night before, she says to Dimash and Igor (the pianist who is also her close friend since 2004) "I have fever, I'll need to take a stronger medicine for tomorrow, this one I have been taking is not enough." She got flu and strong headache.
This entire concert is one of my favourite with Dimash. Especially when it comes to him singing with a partner. As you said, it is amazing watching (listening) to professionals sing together and really listening and adjusting to one another.

Lara is the blond woman, Aida is a Russian opera singer, both have worked with Igor (EEgor), it's why they are there singing at Igor's birthday show, he turned 65 that year and he celebrated all year long, this was towards the end of the year as the concert happened in November. Lara is one of Dimash's idols, as she is a great performer. If you watch Lara's performances, you will see some mannerisms that Dimash uses during performances.
I loved how excited you were by this performance. Your enjoyment came through loud and clear all through the reaction. Surprised you were not familiar with the ladies. Aida Garafolina is just about the most well-known Russian soprano at this time and Lara Fabian is virtually a legend in her native Canada and has sung a number of songs that impressed Dimash so much that he made his own version of the same song. Examples of that include "Mademoiselle Hyde" and "Adagio". They have also done several duets.

Thank you Cedric. Lara is the second female who joined Aida and Dimash. This is not the first recording that Lara has performed of this same song. Lara is one of Dimash’s role models and has written lyrics for Dimash and Dimash has performed some of Lara’s songs such as Adagio, Mademoiselle Hyde, Vocalize/Know. This is a beautiful composition from Igor Krutoy and the trio had originally included the late Russian baritone Dmitri Hvorovstovsky along with Lara and Sumi Joan’s another time with Alina Yarovaya. I will often look up the original artists when Dimash (or truly anyone, but I listen to a lot of Dimash!) covers a song. Ti Amo Cossi was the first time I listened to Dmitri and I found a deep and rich timbre - beautiful tone. Tragic loss that he passed too soon. Yes, to season 2 of The Coroner's Assistant, please!!! Isn't this performance a joy to listen to?! This was a birthday celebration for Igor Kutroy, who has also composed with and for Lara Fabien. I believe that Mademoiselle Hyde was originally hers and Dimash has performed this song as well. They also collaborated on a song for Dimash. I thnk it was Your Love. Please check out Lara's concert versions of Broken Vow and Je Suis Malade. Also, her concert version of Je T'aime is quite the unexpected treat. Funny story re: this performance. During rehearsals Aida (the opera singer) had to step away and said to Lara that if it was needed Dimash could sing her soprano parts.

This is a celebration of Igor Krutoy's wonderful work, and he has produced music for all three of these singers. And Dimash is a great fan of them, too. Lara sang Adagio before Dimash smashed it among the songs he sang in the Chinese "Singer" competition. Aida is the first female singer and a famous Russian opera star. The second female singer in Lara Fabian, a Canadian pop star -- all indebted to Igor for his work with them.
It was a concert for Igor’s birthday. Several artists who all have sung Igor’s songs participated. It was a concert with an ice skating show. The figure skaters were all professionals who partially also got Olympic medals. The entire show was the best I’ve ever seen. Dimash performs some other songs in that concert for example a duet with Aida Garifullina (a well known Russian opera singer) the lady in white. The song is called „Ulysse“.

We can also hear why Dimash was immediately offered a prestigious place eiwithis National Opera Company upon completion of his studies, which he declined in order to be free to explore across multiple genres.
Céline is more known than Lara in USA and in the West of Europe, so Céline is more international for the Olympics. I have heard that Lara was in Paris too (St-Denis), with a concert for the Olympics, but before the opening, which was not internationally broadcasted.

👉 With this last song in this breathtaking concert (You should watch it), Dimash follows in the footsteps of the world famous opera singer (baritone) Dmitri Hvorostovsky (*1962 in Krasnoyarsk; †2017 in London), who has often sung this song by maestro Krutoy in previous performances.
The lady in white is Aida Garifullina, *1987, a Tatar from Russia, world-famous opera star and Prima Donna at the Vienna Opera (Austria).
The lady in black is Lara Fabian (*1970), also a world-famous singer, songwriter from Belgium and a great role model for Dimash. Even as a child, Dimash wished to be on stage with Igor Krutoy and Lara Fabian one day ... and here the dream came true.
The ice dancers are Olympic champions and world champions from Russia.
This event took place on the occasion of the 65th birthday of Igor Krutoy (composer at the piano) in 2019. Can there be a nicer birthday?
* Igor Krutoy (Krutoy means 'Cool', *1954 in Ukraine SSR). He lives and works in Moscow/ Russia. He is singer, a world- famous composer and music titan in Russia (billionaire). His family lives in the US. Krutoy came out of retirement to write songs for Dimash. The maestro and Dimash have been working together from time to time since 2018. They are friends and have a father-son relationship.
Krutoy wrote of what working with Dimash meant to him: “How lucky it is to be doing what you love to do, writing for such a brilliantly feeling singer, evoking deep emotion in the audience and being in demand'.
So far, Igor has composed several songs for Dimash and many songs in 30 years for Lara Fabian and other singers. Most of the songs in this concert were by him.
By the way, all Dears should also subscribe to Igor's channel. He deserves it and also flowers from the Russian Dears.
* Lilia Vinogradova wrote the grandiose lyrics and is known as a permanent co-author of the composer Igor Krutoy, with whom has created wonderful works in the crossover genre. They created the cycle for Hvorostovsky, albums for Sumi Jo, Anna Netrebko, Yusif Aivazov, Lara Fabian and others.

Cedric, once again, I thank you for such a comprehensive analysis. Fun Fact: In a TV interview, Lara Fabian said that at a pause in their rehearsals for “Ti amo cosi,” Aida Garifullina (the lyric soprano) commented, "Hey, if I have to run out for something, he can sing my part." Aida burst into laughter, then Lara and Dimash joined in.

Let me give you some info on this incredible trio and event:
• Igor Krutoy, the pianist, is there as an overall lead because the event is built for him: this is his birthday event that he organized with all his favorite artists, the ones that he is used to collaborate with and the songs he has composed. Igor is considered as the godfather of the russian music scene, a bigger equivalent for Russia of David Foster for North America.
• This is not the first time that Lara sings this song (composed by Igor) in trio but the third time: she performed in the original version with Dmitri Hvorostovsky and Alina Yaroyava then again later with Dmitriy and Sumi Jo, before this new trio with Dimash and Aida. The song was composed from day one with her voice in mind. She has been collaborating with Igor for more than 10 years, they co-created many songs together and he has told from her that she is “the best singer and the best songwriter he has ever worked with”
• This also explains why the song does not expose more of Dimash’s upper register: it was written for the late Dmitri who was a pure baryton.
• Lara was very very sick that day, with fever and strong medication but she is skilled enough to have made it unnoticeable
• Also, like Dimash, and even if the song was composed that way with her in mind, Lara does not sing in her real « comfort zone »: she is, as Aida, a lyrical soprano but here she plays the role in the trio of a mezzo-soprano and takes the median register. It requires a lot of voice control to not interfere with Aida’s high note and does not allow her to really shine. She gives room to Aida to do it instead and Aida uses this magnificently.
• It was the first time Dimash met his idol Lara (he is a fan since he is a child and he covered several of her songs such as Adagio, Love of Tired Swans, Mademoiselle Hyde, Know, … / she influenced him a lot on the way he performs and builds his songs) : look how quickly he turned to her, despite he has not finished his duo section with Aida 😂 And how he looks at her and hold her after it …
• Lara is the most comfortable in italian because it is her first native language even before french: her mother is italian and while born in Belgium she spent her first 7 years in sicilia before returning there. She also is married to a sicilian man
• Look how dimash slightly adapted his vibrato to better match Aida or Lara
• Also there is a debate about the final note, held for such a long time, with the conductor looking at Igor and Igor smiling: Did they make a prank to the singers by extending this last note? Or did the singers instead played with them? I personnally think this is more option 1 😀
• I forgot to add that Lara has been classically trained for more than 10 years at Brussels Royal Conservatory and still continues to receive voice lessons on a daily basis. And she has sung many times opera pieces or with opera singers.
• Final note to say that Lara Fabian wrote the lyrics of the song Your Love for Dimash
Dimash loves Lara Fabian. You should/have/must react to her Je suis malade. Goosebumps, the singing, the "acting", the emotion...no wonder she's been Dimash's idol for so long!!

Lara Fabian is 54 years, he said that she is his inspiration since he was just a kid. One add information, she was sick that night. There is a video of them rehearsing the night before, she says to Dimash and Igor (the pianist who is also her close friend since 2004) "I have fever, I'll need to take a stronger medicine for tomorrow, this one I have been taking is not enough." She got flu and strong headache.
Lara had inner ear infection and was unable to stand for several days. She did her best for Igor!
This entire concert is one of my favourite with Dimash. Especially when it comes to him singing with a partner. As you said, it is amazing watching (listening) to professionals sing together and really listening and adjusting to one another.

Lara is the blond woman, Aida is a Russian opera singer, both have worked with Igor (EEgor), it's why they are there singing at Igor's birthday show, he turned 65 that year and he celebrated all year long, this was towards the end of the year as the concert happened in November. Lara is one of Dimash's idols, as she is a great performer. If you watch Lara's performances, you will see some mannerisms that Dimash uses during performances.

I loved how excited you were by this performance. Your enjoyment came through loud and clear all through the reaction. Surprised you were not familiar with the ladies. Aida Garafolina is just about the most well-known Russian soprano at this time and Lara Fabian is virtually a legend in her native Canada and has sung a number of songs that impressed Dimash so much that he made his own version of the same song. Examples of that include "Mademoiselle Hyde" and "Adagio". They have also done several duets.

Thank you Cedric. Lara is the second female who joined Aida and Dimash. This is not the first recording that Lara has performed of this same song. Lara is one of Dimash’s role models and has written lyrics for Dimash and Dimash has performed some of Lara’s songs such as Adagio, Mademoiselle Hyde, Vocalize/Know. This is a beautiful composition from Igor Krutoy and the trio had originally included the late Russian baritone Dmitri Hvorovstovsky along with Lara and Sumi Joan’s another time with Alina Yarovaya. Lara is the only constant and you could see the adoration on Dimash’s face! You should listen to Lara - especially Je suis malade. Happy that you are busy! Cheers from Canada!

I will often look up the original artists when Dimash (or truly anyone, but I listen to a lot of Dimash!) covers a song. Ti Amo Cossi was the first time I listened to Dmitri and I found a deep and rich timbre - beautiful tone. Tragic loss that he passed too soon. Although I have listened to several songs, if you have any recommendations, I would love to hear them. Cheers!

Yes, to season 2 of The Coroner's Assistant, please!!! Isn't this performance a joy to listen to?! This was a birthday celebration for Igor Kutroy, who has also composed with and for Lara Fabien. I believe that Mademoiselle Hyde was originally hers and Dimash has performed this song as well. They also collaborated on a song for Dimash. I thnk it was Your Love. Please check out Lara's concert versions of Broken Vow and Je Suis Malade. Also, her concert version of Je T'aime is quite the unexpected treat. Funny story re: this performance. During rehearsals Aida (the opera singer) had to step away and said to Lara that if it was needed Dimash could sing her soprano parts.

This is a celebration of Igor Krutoy's wonderful work, and he has produced music for all three of these singers. And Dimash is a great fan of them, too. Lara sang Adagio before Dimash smashed it among the songs he sang in the Chinese "Singer" competition. Aida is the first female singer and a famous Russian opera star. The second female singer in Lara Fabian, a Canadian pop star -- all indebted to Igor for his work with them.

It was a concert for Igor’s birthday. Several artists who all have sung Igor’s songs participated. It was a concert with an ice skating show. The figure skaters were all professionals who partially also got Olympic medals. The entire show was the best I’ve ever seen. Dimash performs some other songs in that concert for example a duet with Aida Garifullina (a well known Russian opera singer) the lady in white. The song is called „Ulysse“.

Aida is emerging as one of the Greats among iSoprsnos internationally - as we csn hear. We can also hear why Dimash was immediately offered a prestigious place eiwithis National Opera Company upon completion of his studies, which he declined in order to be free to explore across multiple genres.
