Y'know, I'd never considered the ferris wheel scene and the acid tunnel of love as parallels to each other, but it makes perfect sense. That's really cool!
Yeah! I find the parallels really fascinating especially when you throw the Weird Route stuff into the mix and I'm pretty excited to see if they're gonna keep being paralleled stronger in the future :D
i would like to add that just because a song exists in universe and is known about by the characters (by which i mean most of the songs in the music shop) and it is thus still technically diegetic, that doesn't mean that every time you as the player can hear the song, it is also playing in universe, or at least not necessarily in the same way or quality of the song i like to imagine that since the entire overarching theme of the dark worlds and deltarune in general so far could kinda be interpreted as a very hardcore version of make-believe, when you are e.g. listening to smart race, in universe it is not necessarily playing that same "fully orchestrated" version, but instead it might just be berdly humming the song (you can very well imagine how he would do it, don't lie), and the nature of the world just makes it seem as epic as they want it to not that i suggest that characters who blast their songs on the regular have actual willing control over the dark world, but instead, since the dark world gives life to concepts and inanimate objects, why would it not also be able to give life to the concept of a theme song without the need for an actually reasonable audio device to play said song and with how game-y the dark world already is in a lot of ways (which at least ralsei and the lightners seem to be aware of), some people might just be rolling with it
It's funny when I read "diegetic songs in deltarune" I expected the list to consist of like 5 or 6 songs at most. Cool video! Since you said you're going to take a break from Deltarune content are you planning to do any more Omori videos?
Honestly when I started researching this topic I thought it would be like 5 songs and the video would be super short lol. Also thanks! I have a few ideas for future Omori videos so you can definitely count on it [:
I always liked to think Papyrus, Queen, and a few others, but most especially Rouxls, just... projected their themes, but it never occurred to me that could ACTUALLY be happening.
Funny part about the start I have never heard anyone mention diegetic music in Deltarune but I have heard about it through splatoon since all the game's music or at least most is diegetic

Lore of A Somewhat Thorough Dissection of Deltarune's Diegetic Music momentum 100

4:30 The thing is, the song is so good that toby had to display it's name ❤ (I think)
So true
