    I often watch never left message - very refreshing you using a very low cost razor & praising how good it is - in fact I ordered 1 tonight to try - hopefully it’s the right version (FS - SE, only version in stock) to try + the colorful handle really nice too so I had to get 1 as well😆

      I hope you enjoy it, and the handle remains a low cost favorite. Let me know what you think once you get it!

    I was wondering how I ended up ordering one of these razors....now I remember.....2nd watch of the vid. I like this razor head....beats most SE razors.

    Couldn't watch live as it was at 3am my time in China. I have this razor in both versions, the Katana gunmetal with the longer slimmer handle seems better balanced to me tbh. Though the handle is fluted rather than knurled, the flair on it makes it very easy to hold, even with wet hands.Thanks for the videos, always enjoy your commentary and little hints and tips.Polsilver is my favourite blade and I'm up to six uses in my Fatip Piccolo Special Edition, smooth as butter, so i think I need to try in the Yaqi SE

    • @mfreedberg

      I looked at that other handle, which is actually kind of a cool design!
      Try the Polsilver, I have a feeling it’s going to be great!

    It seems that Yaqi's taking orders in, and shipping from, Australia these days. (I wonder why?) No more free shipping from China.

    • @mfreedberg

      Even if you order from the Ali Express webshop directly? Huh, I will have to go back and look at the page for that head!

    Thanks for another great video Michael. Living in Australia, I suspect I’ll never catch one of your live shaves live, but still good to watch retrospectively. One question: on the Razor Burn podcast you mentioned a series of Steven Erikson novels. Were you referring to Malazan Book of the Fallen series? I’ve just recently started reading the first one.

    • @mfreedberg
      @mfreedberg  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's the series! Stick with it, the book drops you right into the story, no hand holding!
      Great characters, great world building, deep world, and gets better and better every time you read them!

      I think I might do the Rockwell 6S, I find many of the others are just a notch too aggressive overall.

    A very interesting razor, worth a try. (Where can one find it at $9?) Also, has this Williams cream any connection to the successor in interest to the J.B. Williams company, or has the makers of this cream just appropriated the name? (Just curious.)

    Yaqi dosen't know what is smooth razor. All razors that they producing, are from aggressive to death razors. Like helmet and slant. The slant head kills easily elephant with a Feather blade. haha.

    • @mfreedberg
      @mfreedberg  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The slant is pretty aggressive, I would agree, but this head is quite the opposite: quite smooth with very little blade feel.

      @@mfreedberg Could it be half the Maggards head, the aggressive one?

    • @T-R.e.x
      @T-R.e.x 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would agree too but the DOC and the Scalloped one are very smooth too. As long as you can find the right blade for you.
      Btw just had an irritation free close shave with the Yaqi Slant with a Voskhod loaded. So smooth but dont you dare to press down with it. You can mute its aggression with a mild blade inside. And dont buff with it. Once you are done you are done.
      Dont overshave. (Said TRex who does 4 passes & touchups)
