    Received this Drum the other day. Dressed it up with Attack BlastBeat 2 ply Batter Head, and Attack Medium Snareside Head with Puresound Wires 20. Love this Snare Drum!!!

    I've played Mapex live exclusively since my first Mars Series 4 piece way back in 1995. Back then they felt like everything I loved about TAMA, but without everything my bank account disliked about TAMA! Haha! That new MPX 14x8 is slapping pure 🔥🔥🔥🔥 my dude!!
    That's coming from a player who's tracked sessions with a Noble & Cooley 14x7 Birch valued at up to 8 times the MPX BTW!!!😉✌
    I've been after me a deep snare on the cheap.
    Thanks for the content bro.
    I'm most definitely snatching one of these ASAP!✌

      Hahahahaha I love this comment!!!! I appreciate the love and you sharing your a little of your history! Comparing this snare to a N&C Birch shell is a compliment! This will give you that vibe, but much easier on your wallet for sure!! Haha

      Hahaha man it’s fun!!! Rudiments and practicing them slow, and speeding up overtime helps 😁

    Hey Maestro Robinson do the 42 strand wires work great to convert into a snom ? I can get it to sound like a 14" floor tom, but the snare wires that came with the snare make a terrible sound when engaging the snare wires on. Thanks you in advance

    Pulled the trigger on it, how does it sound with higher tunings?

    • @MaestroLaVille
      @MaestroLaVille  ปีที่แล้ว

      Pretty good!! You’ll love it because you still get tons of body because of the depth, even with a higher tuning. To really dig into the possibilities, experiment with better heads and snare wires too. 👍🏽

    awesome drumming but too much dampening :c

    • @MaestroLaVille

      Thanks! That particular tuning was my preference for this example. The tuning range is wide for multiple preferences.
