This year's weather didn't play ball and much disruption ensued. It's best to try and get a week's stay so that you stand the best chance of seeing some racing. With time to spare there's loads to see and do, as well as soaking up the atmosphere. Glad you made the trip, though.

Absolutely brilliant there been to TT myself it its amazing max respect to go alone enjoy but there is a lot of time waiting for qualifications or racing buts its a lovely island to have a mooch round i watched it up at the crag na ba pub brilliant and the night life in Douglas is brilliant
Just got back from race week. Weather made a pigs ear of the racing but we did a lot of riding on the island which brings me such joy 🤩 ps put your spare keys in a pocket on your panniers.

The weather is always unpredictable at IOM i went working trackside capacity for 5 years running . What no one has said is the whole island is beautiful. Lots of lovely roads friendly people just hate the ferry !

You should carry spare keys for your bike,panniers and locks(I'm talking from experience 😂). Hope you got to see some racing,I've done the TT twice in recent years and will go back again. Looking forward for your adventures on the Isle of man 👍.

If you get the chance pop down for the southern hundred down at Castletown. It's the friendly races and you'lll get closer to the roads and riders and save a fortune on accommodation and food.

O Saffy, i feel for ya. Lost bike keys. Been there done that. But I learned. I have a special pocket in my jacket, that’s only for keys. Put the keys in the special pocket. The weathers been pretty rubbish this year, were currently parked at onchan in the rain again lol. Other than the weather it seems to have been a week of clowns, idiots wandering on the track, bikes parked on the circuit, vans blocking ambulance exits, drones, selfie sticks, cyclists on the mountain, the list goes on. Weve both said it would be good to rake the bikes over just to explore the island when its quieter and theres no racing on.

Has anyone worked out yet why the ferry cant arrive at a reasonable hour while its still light. The tides cant be that unpredictable. I've never arrived in Ireland or france or spain in the dark; so why do i have to find my airbnb in the friggin dark (i don't camp because i've learnt my lesson.....it's shit🚽) a great place on the corner of glendaragh road but a bastid to find late at night. Also, why isn't there a sign pointing to the ferry terminal.....it's right next to The Liverbuilding but with sodall signage. Cocks

I did the same thing recently with my bike key n got my self an apple air tag trakker found within 20 mins have fun there
