There's a way to do this properly and securely. Cryptographic keys could be tied to your Microsoft account and used to sync the data between devices in a secure manner. Didn't Microsoft already have something like this though a few years back on Windows 10 to sync activity between devices?
I absolutely need recall and I think everyone who is doing analytical or creative work should also anticipate and welcome this feature. This is like saying windows gets more viruses than Mac so don’t use windows. It’s a new feature and someone tried to pressure tested in the wrong way and I’m sure Microsoft will make sure everything is fine.. this feature has such an amazing potential to give life back to the 90% of data that’s buried or lost that could be used for good use
I am Windows 11 Insider in last weeks dev build(last one this year) and I would love to test Recall but I don't have copilot-pc. I would find lots of use of recall. I am quite sure my pc would handle it without being "copilot-pc+".
I was planning on getting a Copilot+ PC but when they held off on Recall I didn't buy. Hardware follows software and in this case the main thing that would have sold them was held back. I will be looking forward to it's release. One problem I'm having is, being able to easily following the "generations" of processors. I'm thinking of getting the 2nd Generation of the Snapdragon Elite (the one after the one that was supposed to be for the Copilot+ PC's but it's hard to keep up. Also, I'm wondering what TOPS in the NPU's are going to be good enough.

I want my PC to not anticipate my needs.. it seems to try to all the time when my actual needs is for it to not anticipate my needs.
