    I loved when she said she has nothing to be ashamed of because she did nothing wrong.

    Gisèle Pelicot's is undoubtably a hero. I feel so sad that the love she had for her husband was so utterly destroyed by his unbelievably evil betrayals. I’m glad she had the truely marvellous support by her brilliant and compassionate lawyer Stéphane Babonneau.

    A shoutout to her caring, empathetic, legal team who were there for her. You can tell they truly cared for her and wanted justice too. That is a complicated trial that they had the pressure to get right.

      absolutely, plus the fact that she chose two men as her legal representations says a lot, she is a very smart and brave lady

    The fact that all the names of the men involved are now public knowledge and it is important that the public knows their names.

    • @ctaccv9653
      @ctaccv9653 วันที่ผ่านมา +12

      Their faces and names are hidden in France. The French media is not allowed to disclose them. Unfortunately this is the French law... But with the internet, and social media, it's easy to know.

    • @rb-pk8ds
      @rb-pk8ds วันที่ผ่านมา

      @ctaccv9653 even now that they have been convicted? That's pretty underwhelming and sad.

      @heathermatthews1323 5 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      @@ctaccv9653Wrong. Their names are only withheld until the verdict and sentencing, as under French law a person is considered innocent until found guilty.

    I was abused by my dad fron the age of 9. I'm now 45 & it still afffects me. People don't understand what it does to your head. The real scars are mental l scars. I don't have children, mainly because of the trauma. Cervical smears are agony. I'm married but I don't fully trust men, I don't think I ever will. I seem to have a daily battle with my own head. I admire Gisselle hugely & hope that she understands how grateful women like me are to her. Sexual abuse is one of the last taboos: there's no one I can easily speak to. People look at me strangely when I say I never got on with my Dad. I can't tell people why. Giselle has started to break down the barriers. Thank you for that.

      I’m so sorry to hear that happened to you. It breaks my heart when children are abused. You did nothing wrong; your love and trust were betrayed by a person who should have valued and protected you. I hope you can truly find a level of discernment to allow you to be happy with your husband.

    Her lawyer seems so humble also. He represents her so well. She chose well in her legal team. The fact she chose two men to represent her shows that she has not lost her faith in all men. All of Scotland is behind you 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

    I keep saying over and over and over in my head, “Can you imagine? Can you imagine?” I can, not, understand what he chose to do to his wife. My brain just can’t grasp it. I can’t imagine what that moment was like for her when the police told her what the man, who she loved & spent her life with, what he did to her or how she survived when she found out. This story is just unimaginable.

      The day the police told her, she wanted to take her car and crash into a tree, disappearing from this world. Thankfully the police insisted that a friend of hers pick her up and stays with her.

    And the men get whatever they deserve. Whatever that maybe. Because with actual remorse and true understanding of what they have done can come true healing for all. With none.. well. What ever they deserve.

    I think the law needs to change before women will feel safe enough to come forward. One of the things that this case has highlighted is how badly women get treated in the French judicial system.

    I am so sorry for all the bad things those men did to this poor lady and in her own home! It is incredible how some men can be so evil and abusive ! Very sad case!
    I am happy that she did win 🏆 the case and that those evil 👿 people are behind bars for good! The community is safer now!
    Mme. Pelicot deserve compensation from her government and from those criminals for all the torture and suffering she endured in more that 10 years of abuse!
    Thank you Monsieur lawyer for believing her and represented her so well! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
