Gisèle Pelicot's is undoubtably a hero. I feel so sad that the love she had for her husband was so utterly destroyed by his unbelievably evil betrayals. I’m glad she had the truely marvellous support by her brilliant and compassionate lawyer Stéphane Babonneau.
A shoutout to her caring, empathetic, legal team who were there for her. You can tell they truly cared for her and wanted justice too. That is a complicated trial that they had the pressure to get right.
Let’s hope people more and more realise those newspapers and magazines are total trash and quit buying them. We now have choice of what news we access.
Their faces and names are hidden in France. The French media is not allowed to disclose them. Unfortunately this is the French law... But with the internet, and social media, it's easy to know.
@@ctaccv9653Wrong. Their names are only withheld until the verdict and sentencing, as under French law a person is considered innocent until found guilty.
I was abused by my dad fron the age of 9. I'm now 45 & it still afffects me. People don't understand what it does to your head. The real scars are mental l scars. I don't have children, mainly because of the trauma. Cervical smears are agony. I'm married but I don't fully trust men, I don't think I ever will. I seem to have a daily battle with my own head. I admire Gisselle hugely & hope that she understands how grateful women like me are to her. Sexual abuse is one of the last taboos: there's no one I can easily speak to. People look at me strangely when I say I never got on with my Dad. I can't tell people why. Giselle has started to break down the barriers. Thank you for that.
I’m so sorry to hear that happened to you. It breaks my heart when children are abused. You did nothing wrong; your love and trust were betrayed by a person who should have valued and protected you. I hope you can truly find a level of discernment to allow you to be happy with your husband.
Her lawyer seems so humble also. He represents her so well. She chose well in her legal team. The fact she chose two men to represent her shows that she has not lost her faith in all men. All of Scotland is behind you 🏴🏴🏴
I keep saying over and over and over in my head, “Can you imagine? Can you imagine?” I can, not, understand what he chose to do to his wife. My brain just can’t grasp it. I can’t imagine what that moment was like for her when the police told her what the man, who she loved & spent her life with, what he did to her or how she survived when she found out. This story is just unimaginable.
The day the police told her, she wanted to take her car and crash into a tree, disappearing from this world. Thankfully the police insisted that a friend of hers pick her up and stays with her.
How can you call yourself innocent when you’ve been sexual with an unconscious woman? Even if the devil said she was faking sleep…there’s no consent. French law must change!
What an exceptional strong and principled woman!! She has done more for women in France and over the world in the past 3 months than legislators have done in the past 20 years all over the world.
The most uplifting part of this for me was 15:38 - Maître Babonneau described Gisèle laughing at a mock-up of her as Time magazine's "Person of the Year". She's certainly mine!
So every woman in France getting onto an elevator or going up a grocery store aisle could be next to one of these guys and not know it ... creepy, super creepy.
So brave. I hope she with the trial over and many of the creeps facing sentences especially her husband, gives her a feeling of safety now. An amazing lady 🌹🌹🌹
Such a brave woman. I admire her effort to turn this into a help to other women. I hope the world can answer her call, and that she can somehow heal from this.
She must be discovering strength within her that she was not aware of. Only through this horror situation could she experience the depth and strength of her character. I salute her, she will always be remembered as a woman with courage and who refused the be destroyed! 💐💐💐💐💐👏🏻💕🇿🇦
I’m so thankful for this remarkable brave Ms Gisèle. I hope she now gets to live the rest of her life in the peace and love she deserves ❤ And the men get whatever they deserve. Whatever that maybe. Because with actual remorse and true understanding of what they have done can come true healing for all. With none.. well. What ever they deserve.
I think the law needs to change before women will feel safe enough to come forward. One of the things that this case has highlighted is how badly women get treated in the French judicial system.
Even if this happend in France it could happen anywhere in the world, in any culture, in all layers of society....I'm so disgusted of the growing mysogyny in our world. 😢
I am so sorry for all the bad things those men did to this poor lady and in her own home! It is incredible how some men can be so evil and abusive ! Very sad case! I am happy that she did win 🏆 the case and that those evil 👿 people are behind bars for good! The community is safer now! Mme. Pelicot deserve compensation from her government and from those criminals for all the torture and suffering she endured in more that 10 years of abuse! Thank you Monsieur lawyer for believing her and represented her so well! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
What an amazing life that idiot of a husband could have had! Being married to such an incredible woman- he was blind to the potential, consumed by his ego. He blew it.
Giselle will need a new home in a totally different place close to nature...with her close family with her😢 i will pray that God will heal her mind and body. Miracles are possible with God. I trusted in Him and He gave me amnesia Haze of very bad memories 😢 i actually felt peace. I changed where i lives and natural surrounding drowned out anything else.❤
Each one of those men need to apologise and undertake to go for psychological assessment and help...then serve their sentences At some point shame will hit them Bless Gisele and her family May we all find her strength and courage
Just an abomination what happened to this dignified woman …. By so many men … horrific .. I think her lawyer Monsieur Barbonneau with his gentle manner was a brilliant choice by her … Great interview . I sincerely hope Gisele can find some happiness in her life now … 🥲🥲🥲
I loved when she said she has nothing to be ashamed of because she did nothing wrong.
Women of the world are grateful for her strength and courage.
Yes ❤! Love from 🇬🇧
💕 Love from Wales 🏴

absolutely, plus the fact that she chose two men as her legal representations says a lot, she is a very smart and brave lady

The strength of Gisele is felt around the world. We love you Gisele 🇫🇷 Thank you ❤
100%!❤
This is the heroine we need on front of magazines NOT empty headed 'influencers' ❤❤❤❤
Let’s hope people more and more realise those newspapers and magazines are total trash and quit buying them. We now have choice of what news we access.
The fact that all the names of the men involved are now public knowledge and it is important that the public knows their names.
Their faces and names are hidden in France. The French media is not allowed to disclose them. Unfortunately this is the French law... But with the internet, and social media, it's easy to know.
@ctaccv9653 even now that they have been convicted? That's pretty underwhelming and sad.

Thank you for sharing your story. I am sorry to hear what happened to you. You deserve peace of mind and happiness.
Thank you for speaking about what happened to you. Do you think you will ever tell people why you dont get on with your dad?
@Stumpybear7640 They don't even try to undersrand. PS he died in 2005.
So sorry for what you experienced. May you find peace. Hugs to you

The woman deserves a gold medal for courage!
20 years isnt enough.he should have gotten 10 years for each men he brought to her
Wow that was a terrific interview- one of the best.
So every woman in France getting onto an elevator or going up a grocery store aisle could be next to one of these guys and not know it ... creepy, super creepy.
Giselle needs to write a diary on her healing from this tragedy. It will help others even more❤
So brave.
I hope she with the trial over and many of the creeps facing sentences especially her husband, gives her a feeling of safety now.

Amazing human and wonderful legal team.
She is extraordinary to me, but I’m ok with her insisting she’s not. Great podcast .

Extraordinary humility. Extraordinary lady 💐
Yes. I vote for Gisèle as Person of the Year!!

Shame? How about pure anger?

My heart goes out for this woman The worst betrayal of her husband! The man she trusted!!!
Lot of sexual scandale in french media, french cinema,in the churches also.Nobody punished.
now why aren't they showing the faces of the 51?
Just to let you know the Daily Mail published their names and photos. It should still be on their website somewhere.
Thank you, Times Radio 😊 Words of wisdom & courage ❤ Thank you ✌
The French Courts did do much better than the English Courts.

Apparently she has moved to a village far away from her old home.
Not sure prayers help women, they have not made any difference yet.
I praise the people who stand up for righteousness and who stood by her!!
Each one of those men need to apologise and undertake to go for psychological assessment and help...then serve their sentences
At some point shame will hit them
Bless Gisele and her family
May we all find her strength and courage

May justice prevail! May God be the judge and bring justice on these wicked men! Well doone for the people who stand by her.
God has had several thousand years to correct the male behavior but has failed so far.
