I love the way she built it up. Her voice and emotion are other level. This was her go to song as she was growing up and her interpretation is a testament to her love and appreciation of Eminem ‘s music. It is phenomenal and as the original artist I would be blown away by her version, which apparently he was.
The reason Kasey's channel for this song isn't because people haven't watched it, or don't like it; all their positive reactions to this song, is they are fascinated watching everybody get gobsmacked by her version. The video for her clip, was derived from mobile phone footage taken at the venue; due to the venue only holding 1,450, they didn't feel it warranted videoing until the heard the playback. Kasey then put on her Facebook, for fans at the concert to send her their footage; the result is the perfect alignment of the vudeo foitage, synced with the audio master. Sheer Aussie brilliance.
Kasey is a big fan of Eminem and wanted to do justice to this song. She worked on this arrangement with the band when they were not allowed to tour, due to Covid. This is the result and it is brilliant.
I think having a generational song like this that EVERYONE'S heard and morphing it so completely into something so different is such a compliment to Em himself. Change the tempo, the instruments, the style, and it's STILL powerful tells you something about the genius that wrote the original. This song stands the test of time. Love it 👏 P.S. You two are too much fun to watch! Love your chemistry and the friendship that holds it all together 🫶

She announced to the audience that this performance of the song would be recorded (list was part of the reason there was so little crowd noise), but no video was taken. Once everyone realised that this was going to be as big as it was, she asked everyone who attended to send in their recordings of the performance and the various recordings were mixed into this video. Her normal wheelhouse is country/folk/blues and she is one of Australia's top country artists. Her skill is to bring you into her heart and allow you to feel the emotion. She's about to start a new tour around Australia, timed with the release of her 13th allbum. Yes, it's a banjo :) Kasey Chambers is an Australian legend: the youngest person to be inducted into the Australian Music Hall of Fame, a dozen albums and has more than 30 ARIA Awards (the AU Grammy's). She is beloved but is ignored by radio and was shunned by Sony. She's been performing in her father's band since she was 12 years old (her dad is on the steel guitar on stage here). She had some pop hits in the 90s but her heart and soul is Country in her own style. She wanted to commemorate the 20th anniversary of this song because she loves Eminem, and she had the time to rearrange and compose this masterpiece during lockdown. She is showing so much emotion because she has lived this to a degree as well. At the time of recording she was 46 years old and is a mother of three. This recording is the first time it was ever performed live and was done at the end of the concert. They thought it went well, so they used the recording from the sound desk and asked their fans who were in attendance to provide any footage they had to composite this one together. Now do Madvillainy. Not like I'm biased or anything
Wtf was that thing you pick up was that a bong ?
HAHAHA Nah..that was breathing helping object, I was in an accident and cracked some ribs, and bruised my lungs plus fractured scapula...helps me take deep breathes to avoid pneumonia
Yall crazy. 😂
Are you serious girl? What instrument is it??? How can you give a critique if you have no idea??
Why is the dude laughing? Dude is a fool!
find a mirror in your home, tell a bad joke. and then repeat your comment. thanks for the view!
@@GoatWorthy_ why is dude joking instead of appreciating an incredible performance from Kasey Chambers? Because dude is a fool!
@@GoatWorthy_ Why is the dude joking and laughing during this incredible performance by Kasey Chambers? Because dude is a fool!
You two are cute together
disrespect.your reaction shows little respect for the artist involved.
Nice try. You didn’t watch the reaction clearly
@GoatWorthy_ I did and found your early reaction very insulting to the
Artist, but then you did turn around. I look at the complete reaction. I don't think Casey won you guys over. The
Banjo comments were very quick to judge the cover of the song. I applaud you for even trying to take her seriously eventually. She is very well respected as a country artist here in Australia. And in the UK as well as in some parts of the U.S. Well done for taking a risk in your review..
@@lhl58 we we're laughing because we we in complete awe of her talent, not at one point did i disrespect her..my wife does not listen to a lot of music so its hard for her to understand the lyrics at times but we absolutely loved the cover she presented..we both sated that we never heard a cover done like that before..you might of taken our early reaction the wrong way. but either way sorry if that offended you, we have a lot of respect for everyone we react to. thanks for sharing your opinion
@GoatWorthy_ there is much out there to watch and listen. I will endeavour to send you some of local Perth, Western Australians sounds soon. Take much care you both, and keep the minds open. I look forward to your next discovery. Cheers for your kind words, I ment no disrespect to you both.
Im sure "She" has a name.
she who? lol
Is your misses in to this AT ALL she looks bored😢
Omg react to some songs your misses likes 😊😊
It's basically about a Karen whinging over a lifelong piercing that's slightly misaligned.
Her energy and personality are boring asf.
WTF?
Stop talking!
@@oxazepamgeek wait.. even better idea 💡 STOP WATCHING!! 🤣
@@GoatWorthy_ 🤣
I prefer SZAs cover of Lose Yourself tbh.
Worth a listen.
The song is so well written, it could b in any genre/sound and fit 👌
bull shit
FSAke very very disrespectful, to Casey chambers during the song and having what look like a bong during it
GROW UP🇭🇲🇭🇲
clearly you didnt watch the entire reaction..cuz we were in awe the whole time, we literally said this the best cover we've ever seen done for any song..that sound like disrespect to you? and that wasn't a "bong", I was in an accident recently where my ribs were fractured, scapula broken and lungs contusions..that device is a breathing device that helps me take deep breaths to help expand my lungs to prevent pneumonia ...so maybe you should take your own advice, and grow up and speak like a respectful adult and not make a whole bunch of emotional, impulsive assumptions. I actually never respond to negative comments like this, I usually try to find an understanding to why some ppl feel the way they do, but you were very rude. so im sorry coming across this way but please refrain from commenting on my videos
Gibberish? Seriously??
I can understand the artistry of her version but its definitely not for me. No hate to her or anything, its just too slow and the style just isnt it for me
You obviously didn’t finish watching it 🤣😂🤣😂
Wow this is straight up crap
Tell Em that - he thinks its fire - and I think I’ll take his opinion of a cover of his own track over a random hater 😂
@@Deehydrate lol 🤣
lose yourself is crap? its like one of the most popular rap songs lol
@@charg1nmalaz0r51 He meant the cover, but he is 100% wrong there too.
