This was so helpful! This was something I was almost certainly going to support, but your playthrough + palpable enthusiasm cemented my confidence and boosted my own excitement. I appreciate how they already designed *all* the characters to be playable as either investigators or suspects--no new plastic needed, just some extra tiles! My only despair is the wait. 😄
I appreciate the coverage and play! Kinda feels like Arkham/Eldritch Horror on a train. Intriguing for sure, but I’ll likely hold on this one for the moment and see how the final reviews come out.
39:00 I believe the monsters coming back from the horizon (banished) all arrive at the rear carriage. The game rules have changed significantly since this video though (especially Talking)
This game has like 8 things going on and I like each of them. It has everything I want in one package. And I really hope it's not too much. And I really hope I can someday find someone to play it with
I'm a dice chucker. The elevated excitement and suspense that chucking a bunch of dice for critical hits etc i don't think i can live without. Thematically I love everything about this game, but wtf. Will i support the campaign? No dice 😂
Not sure how to answer your mechanics question… did you watch the video? I show every mechanic in action 😅 And it works great non-solo, at least the 3 times I tried it
Do you have any insider knowledge about how the train will be stored? Will we have to assemble and break down the cars each time, or will they fit in the box assembled?
HAHA! Yeah, there was no indication of that in the prototype, but clearly they were thinking about it. I'm campaigned out lately, too many big ones delivering all at once, but I know this optional way to play will make a lot of people happy!
@@OneStopCoopShop thank you, I just wanted to make sure because I already clicked on a couple of videos from other channels and it was clear they were getting paid

I didn’t know about that from the prototype (swapping investigators and suspects), but it makes perfect sense and I love it :)
Everyone being so happy while riding on a train through the Dreamlands might be the most horror thing in this game..
Hahaha, good point!
Horror on the Orient Express is the kind of game I'd play when I'm not the host. The setup looks killer.
It sounds like the train cars will fit in the box set up, which should help speed things up some
Thanks, Mike! This was not on my radar until I saw your video. Looks super fun, like Cthulhu + Clue on a train...
Clue-train-lhu 😜
Glad I helped you find the game!
Thanks for the preview! Backing this for sure!
Hope you like it when it delivers!
I think this is the best video about this game. Thank you for this one!
Thanks so much!
Thank you so much for the coverage. But this looks like absolutely maddening Hell to set up and manage with fiddly bits.
You aren’t wrong! Getting all the dice and tokens and such together takes a while. But it’s maybe worth it for the thematic goodness once you play 😅
@@OneStopCoopShop I believe you if you say the experience is worth it - no doubt.

Thanks for showcasing a game I didn't know I wanted until watching this, Mike 🤣
Sorry! 😅😅😅😬😬
I enjoy big game setups, so this looks up my alley :)
39:00 I believe the monsters coming back from the horizon (banished) all arrive at the rear carriage.

Yeah, I wouldn't worry too much about rules in previews like this. It's more for a general gist of games that are still in development
that preacher looks so scary and people being made happy by her is thematically confusing :-D
Maybe it’s mind control 😜
@@OneStopCoopShopso like real life 🤐

Everything you just said is fully accurate, both in terms of positives and potential negatives :)

You can roll the passengers each turn 😜
the sequel will be 'SOMEONE GET THESE CULTISTS OFF THIS PLANE'
I’d play the heck out of that! 😜
@@OneStopCoopShop obviouslyyyyyyy. Yig needs to make an appearance too. Then you can scream 'someone get these snake gods off this plane' :-D
There is something about games coming out these days with randomized or selectable traits/titles/skills that is starting to really grow on me.
I love it for a simple way to increase replay variety
looks very interesting.
What kind of mechanics this game implements?
Also, how do you think this will work in a non solo game?
Not sure how to answer your mechanics question… did you watch the video? I show every mechanic in action 😅

Great overview. Do you think it’s worth it if only played with 2 players?
You saw me play with two characters here, and I find the a ton of fun, so sure playing with two should be fine
Do you have any insider knowledge about how the train will be stored? Will we have to assemble and break down the cars each time, or will they fit in the box assembled?
No “insider knowledge”, but I think on the campaign page or in a reply they said the train will fit as-is, no refolding or such required
I wonder what the "Legacy" version would be like. 😂
This game looks really unique and I'm always up for some more Cthulhu. Any estimate on when it will hit retail?
I’m not sure. The design seemed mostly done when I played, but I’m sure production details will take a while to work out
@@OneStopCoopShop I bit the bullet and went all in on the KS
"It's not a campaign game." Yeah, about that.

Hi. What about true solo experience in this game? Cuz it seems you may lack movement actions playing with only one character...
I didn’t hear anything about true solo yet. I think you might need to control 2 characters
Im going to wait for Grim Coven
Look to be very different games, but I’m intrigued by Grimcoven as well
The train looks terrible, just my opinion lol I’d prefer tiles like you get in Mansions of Madness. The whole thing just looks too toy like.
This is just a prototype. Not sure what the final product will look like
Is this a paid preview?
No, we don’t accept money from publishers. I say that at the beginning of every video :)

@@theoavg no worries! It can be hard to figure out, especially for previews
That's why I love this channel
