Getting FCs in Rocksmith even with easy songs is hard though. There are plenty of songs I can play flawlessly, but can never FC because the note detection sucks. I've played Today by the Smashing Pumpkins like ten times in a row but it always gives me misses at the same bends. If you can FC Undone then good on you man.
halsb it’s all in the technique: first you do this, spin around- STOP! Double take three times (1, 2, 3), now pelvic thrust WOO WOO STOP ON YOUR RIGHT FOOT DONT FORGET IT! Now it’s time to bring it around town, bring it around town, then you do like this and this and this and that and this and that and this and that and then *FCs Through The Fire And Flames*
Exceptional. And they say Rocksmith has note detection issues. Obviously not if your halsb. Great pinky control. Mine still lets me down after nearly 4000 hours practice.
Congrats! Playing these riffs is a bit of an endurance run. I was surprised by some of your up-/downpicking choices, but whatever works I guess. Especially the riff before the solo has some neat rhythmic tricks that actually allow for very economical picking all the way through, using outside picking on the two low strings. I've spent a few months trying to get this down, but the solo is really hard. Got it over 90% speed at one point, but not reliably. At least it taught me some tasteful melodic three-string sweeps. That I need to practice a hell of a lot more.
@@halsb Yeah, I saw you make that work fine. Too fast for me, I need to alternate pick constantly, like this guy: th-cam.com/video/GhCQZzvl0rk/w-d-xo.html
What are some songs would you recommend to someone new to sweep picking in rocksmith? I've been trying Thunderhorse, but I've only gotten it up to 80%. I've been playing for a couple of years now, but I want to challenge myself.
How long it takes varies a lot based on how difficult the song is and whether or not it has detection issues. Messing up the last section happens sometimes but not often.
It's FCable, but the chart doesn't give you any break before the solo, so you have to jump from the 5th fret to the 22nd fret. I usually miss a note there
I’ve been waiting for this for soooooo long even asked about it once glad it’s finally here
Big fan of this track and you killed it!
RIP Oli Herbert
Definitely one of my favourite songs by ATR, insane job dude!
you definitely needed a breather at 3:10 haha
great job as always, no way i could do half as clean
Your sweeps are real pleasant to listen and watch.
Amazing! One of my fav ATR songs.
Animal. Great video
great job ! that solo sounded awesome !
great job as always.
Dang, while you’re out FCing beasts like this, I just barely FCd Undone (The Sweater Song) by Weezer. That’s mere child’s play.
gratz to you aswell man

It's not hard if you setup your guitar, optimize your game, and work on your technique

@@tangobravo5752 for a moment i thought you were about to go all Rocky Horror Picture 🤔
Impressive, as always. 🤘

Downstrokes on the palm muted low e. Alternate picking on the rest. Simple

Dude I’m surprised you actually FC this. I thought you weren’t planning on doing this.
I hadn't played this song in years. Tried it recently and it was easier than I remembered, so I went for 100%
@@halsb this was EASY FOR YOU!?
Easier than I remembered, not easy. I'm a lot better at playing than I was a few years ago.
WOW
Man this is awesome, leaves me wondering how long you've been playing for?
16+ years
awesome. free bird soon pls !
my best is only 97.69%, so that's not happening anytime soon
halsb wow. i wouldve thought tornado of souls and some of the others youve played would be at least as hard as that
It also isn't charted very well, so I've barely worked on it
halsb ah, i got you
Anyone know what the guitar is he is using?
Aristides 060

Selkies. Scream Aim Fire has some 3 string sweeps.
Break by Three Days Grace
On average how long does it take to fc a song? Do you get nervous and mess up the last section?
How long it takes varies a lot based on how difficult the song is and whether or not it has detection issues. Messing up the last section happens sometimes but not often.
Hard difficulty? Why not master?
Master is the same but the notes are invisible
Nice, I love fortnite

I think the guitarist of this group also had to do it differently... maybe separately during the recording
I was trying to play this song recently. Any tips for the solo?
Get really good at 3 string sweeps. As far as 3 string sweeps go, these are pretty hard.
Do you use the Rocksmith cable or a soundcard to play the game?
Rocksmith cable
