Bikepacking the Southern Flinders Rail Trail, South Australia

Located in the Flinders Ranges, 207 km north of Adelaide, SA this is an 80km bike packing ride along one of South Australia's newest rail trails from Wilmington to just a few kilometres past Laura.
The Southern Flinders Rail Trail consists of six sections that vary in terms of trail surface, scenery and topography:
Laura to Stone Hut (10 km) - a good rural cycle path
Wilmington to Melrose (20 km) -follows the base of Mt Remarkable, then crosses open plains and small creeks
Melrose to Booleroo Centre (17 km) - open farmland
Booleroo Centre to Wirrabara(21 km) - through hills and along farmland Wirrabara to Stone Hut (9 km) - follows the path of the Rocky River
Stone Hut to Laura (10 km) - a good rural cycle path
Laura to Idlib Road (3 km) - open farmland
