This has been my favourite hymn since I was 12/13 yrs old and I'm now 90. I have a Christian radio station on 24/7 and they play this hymn (not this version) at least once a day. This morning I learned that it was a young teenager who wrote the words as a poem after he gave his life to Christ. Surprisingly he died at age 27 yrs but his love song to Jesus has outlived him and will continue to do so till Christ's return for His Church. If you haven't yet, give your life over to our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ - the Light of the World. Then let your light shine!

Amen, what a beautiful testimony- yours and his. I have loved this song since I discovered hymns a year after I discovered God's love and salvation in college. I pray He will give me the grace to keep singing it to Him when I'm 90. Praise Him for the day when we will sing it before Him, to His face, together.

I had 2 holes in my heart when I was born and the doctor told my parents that they couldn't take me anywhere or I would get sick but they didn't listen to him and still took me to church safely and I was healed with no surgery or anything needed now I'm 14 years old and worship and praise God every day❤🔴🔴

This is my favorite hymn and song, I am 24, working now as I listen to this song, I have to let go of my friend and it feels painful, I have been praying a lot then I decided to listen to this song. I feel like Jesus wants my attention more. He wants to spend time with me. I have resisted Him for long and now I say YES JESUS, I WANT THAT INTIMACY WE ONCE HAD!
