2001 Ford Fiesta Zetec S Overview

- Dave Lee Travis and Ginny Buckley take a look at the 2001 model Ford Fiesta Zetec S and give us an overview of some of it's features, including it's 1.6 litre engine which gives it a fun feeling to drive. Although the look of the car is a bit dated, the impressive drive is what got it placed at number nine on their list of top 10 hatchbacks.
I can proudly say this is my first ever car. I bought it in May last year (2018) and spent a solid 6 months fixing her up to get back on the road. Challenging was an understatement, everybody said I should get rid of it, but I told them that's a no no, lol. They are now shocked I stuck the hard grafting out and managed to get her road worthy.
I also own a 2000 Ford Fiesta MK5 Finesse, another fixer-upper and currently my daily run about. Considerably slower but absolutely bullet proof engine. I love them both. 😁
How tuneable are those 1.6 engines?

I bought a red one brand new in 2000. Drove it hard for 140k miles in just over 4 years. Loved it 😁
Nice to hear the actual truth that this is a tarted up mk3 Fiesta.
Don't even start me on the Puma Stans.... It's possibly the greatest marketing ploy pulled by Ford. Kudos.
I mean to be fair to the puma, a lot of the praise is for the racing puma, which had a fair few extra tweaks, like a wider track and an engine co-developed with Yamaha

Don’t they talk some crap ! I bought a new one of these a red one done 110k in it without a hiccup I could also put a washing machine in the back with the seats down so don’t say it was tiny in the back ! I guess if talk with a plum in your mouth your to thick to fold the seats down lol. The best car I ever owned wish I still had it 👍
