For me, Kone is too high on this list. He’s got great potential and has had some terrific games, but then he goes missing. Davies should be higher than Kone as should Shaffelburg who consistently impacts the game and delivers important goals. Davies could be much better, but his quality is truly impactful.
Wow, Steven Caldwell, your ratings are so inconsistent! On one hand you say that Shaffelburg, rated #7, was lower down on your list because of his inconsistency with his club team; but then you have Kone at #4, despite his getting benched with his club team. Without any doubt, Shaffelburg was the better player for Canada this year. Remember, we are not talking about long term potential here. Using your club criteria, Max Crepeau, who was excellent in the Copa, should have been listed lower at 9th or 10th, not to mention the fact that he was benched for Canada's last 2 matches too. Your rating of Alphonso Davies @ #5 is absolutely ridiculous!!! You said that he hasn't had a great year. What are you talking about??? His coach at Bayern has consistently said that Davies has been terrific! Marsch clearly has asked Davies to play a much more defensive game & he has done a wonderful job of it. Forget about being flashy!!! Since Canada lost vs the Netherlands, Canada has had 6 clean sheets. Apart from allowing 2 goals in 2 games vs Messi & Argentina, Canada only allowed more than 1 goal once to Uruguay & they only got their 2nd goal very late in that match. Their defence was one of the best in the Copa & is the best in CONCACAF too, in large part because of the excellent defence of Alphonso Davies. Listen, I love Alistair Johnston's game as much as anyone; but there is no way in hell that he rates above Alphonso Davies, or Moise Bombito. You were really showing your Scottish bias there! Steven Caldwell, you were really off your game big time on making this list.
Tajon has been back in the Inter lineup since October. He's been subbed into a few matches and started at RM today in their 2-0 cup win against Udinese.
David, Davies and Kone all moved to Canada in their formative youth years so not sure what that has to do with your point here. They all have spent the majority of their lives living in Canada. That is what is called immigration.

My vote is for “cheeky boy”. Who you say? Visualize a photo of Alistair Johnston when he was 10 years old. I’ll bet he was a mischievous cheeky boy.
top 5 shld be 5. crepeau or shaff, 4. johnston, 3. bombito, 2. david and 1. davies. always davies number 1, he is world class
Niko Sigur !

Tejon Buchanan should be back with Inter Milan by mid-January.

How many of them are actually Canadian though?
I mean they live in Canada so that means they are.
Only three of them were born outside Canada, and one of them, Jonathan David, was actually born in New York-he's American, lol.
David been in Ottawa since he was 5, Davies in Edmonton since 6, and Kone in Montreal since 7
Ya this narrative doesn’t apply to the Canadian team. Look at the U.S. squad or other national teams if u wanna play that game.
