First time I heard about Barstool I was a Freshman at Northeastern and the KO Barstool movement was right outside my freshman dorm “protesting”. I hear the commotion but don’t think anything of it. I walk outside to go to the dining hall, and I see the guy they’re picketing about (Prez) standing face to face with the KO Barstool leader demanding the microphone to say his part. Remember thinking “Ya gotta respect that move. Nice to see someone stand up to this sort of BS face-to-face”.
In the weeks that followed I discovered all the reasons people love Barstool for myself, and now I’m 8-year deep stoolie headed to the moon. Viva la stool, go Prez go, and don’t ever change.
Also, Lurch was my lacrosse coach at NU. Glad to hear Barstool is paying him - he deserves it.

Portnoy cracks me up. I'm a masshole, and I know guys that are just like him. He says what he's thinking and he has no problem calling people out. He's the exact opposite of your typical CEO/president of a company. His HR department must be filled with guys like the Wonton Don... I don't know how he gets away with what he gets away with, but I love it.

Podcast app rankings. I hate Call Her Daddy, but it’s the podcast with the largest amount of female listeners (JRE has most male listeners of any podcast).
It’s fine to put them in the same sphere. Most podcast value convo deals with how Barstool has multiple successful brands that have the same value as JRE. JRE’s issue is that if Joe gets hit by a bus, it’s over. CHD replaced one of their hosts and is growing
