I honestly like the Mecha Godzilla from the 2021 movie quite a lot. I don't think the Mech has to fully look like Godzilla anyways. It just has to be a Gojira looking thingy. Also the CGI in that movie was amazing so that also boosts my score to either the great tier and maybe cream of the crop tier.
Type 2 kiryu looks sick with his blades and beams but the chest plate and chest beam damage is E P I C because it has funni spammable beams to stall frozen behemtoh so i give kiryu 9.8/10
Bros got the most destructive and cool armaments that makes him look like a terminator mixed with a space ship and still got dunked into the "what even" tier
My favorite is mg21, I actually like the fact that it doesn’t look too much like godzilla for him being a little thinner, it does make it look like he would’ve been a bit more agile in the movie instead, I also like mg21 probably just because of how his head looks like it’s angry as hell from the front when he tilts his head down and hides some of the top part of his eyes and how it’s dorsal plate lights give a good line up pattern from the head to tail, and also, I think I may get your issue with how heisei mecha Godzilla’s design would is its how it’s shapings are a bit round and doesn’t look sharp enough to be something that fits in a movie.
Agreed, I like how MG21 looks really industrial like the original Mecha, instead of being polished and futuristic like SMG or like Kiryu, it looks more realistic in a way like the original Mecha. That’s why I love his blocky design, and the red is just 👌. I also like how his fighting style is kind of human in a way, punching, kneeing, and grabbing/throwing his opponents. He is also pretty strong, even at base he was able to clap MV Goji at 50% power without a struggle, and it was even stated that if MV Goji was at full power, the fight would have went differently, but also meaning that Mecha still would have won, it would have just been more difficult. Now imagine him with the actual Hollow Energy source, it would be a massacre
I agree with everything from this list The only thing I have a problem with is why mg2 doesn't get the love it deserves in KU as it does in movies, other Godzilla games, and comics

Alright,im kinda late but here are my opinions, I like showa mechagodzilla as well,its an all around good design and his chaotic-jittery movement is pretty cool, I don’t exactly like his flexibility in the movies but in his other appearances this is an issue fixed well enough. I don’t have much to say for kiryu, I guess I like the wires (or endoskeleton?) under his plates of metal,fixes one of my issues that I have with supermechagodzilla/mechagodzilla II On the topic of heisei mecha, I like em! The heisei era had a way of being realistic and sci-fi that I can’t really find in the monsterverse,like how mutated godzillas’ organic doppelgängers were, Or how mechagodzilla,a robot that uses literal future technology is still extremely clanky and slow, Its a nice idea that makes sense,I feel like the bland head is passable considering its just there to fire 2 lasers,not to start rapping. Mg21 is valid,honestly, He’s definitely one of the few things I actually like from the monsterverse, Yes,hes not exactly supposed to copy godzilla,but rather just be a superior titan to him, And not only is he meant to counter godzilla,he’s designed to kill titans in general! So I think his flexibility and simultaneous bulk fits,I also like how hes got a bajillion minor features in every nook and cranny, I kind of like cyber zillas design,Its cool to think that despite being so advanced,those aliens still can’t fully replicate him, I also like how instead of just being zilla+metal,they decided to change his color to a pink-ish color,as it makes him feel more decomposed. In my opinion the 3 best ones are kiryu, ready player one and monsterverse mecha. I also dont really like the showa or heisei designs. Showa looks like a tin-can that got oversized and grew arms, legs and a head and then someone though it was a good idea to give it weapons. Heisei, well yes, its just that head and the toy like appearence. But we shall all never forget the true worst desing ever...

I wouldn't think people will try to make it like a mecha clone of something they are trying to kill. the longer arms would probably help with rang melee because of how strong Godzilla is. the bulky arms would also help with the humbling of Godzilla and so the arms and joints wont snap on impact and the over all bulkiness of the design would help him clash with Godzilla if he ever gets close and personal with him.
