Bell Ringing in the Belfry at Tewkesbury Abbey

Stedman Caters being rung on the back 10 of the fantastic Taylor 12 at Tewkesbury Abbey, on Thursday 14th November 2019. With Rachel Bagley ringing the Tenor, who is the youngest to ring it for a quarter peal at 13 years old.

I love Stedman Caters especially when they call a bob immediately as you get the sound of the back bells in sequence.

They sound tinny on the front end and they sound like the were cast by Whitechapel or Gillett and Johnston

Yeah they do, but they are Taylor bells, and sound great in the ringing chamber.

James Joynson and probably cause they were cast in the 60s and the sound rather similar to Abergavenny because they don’t sound mellow they sound Taylor cute and sweet so yh but you still get that Taylor tenor boom in the ringing chamber.
