Getting started on catching up. I've been burning vacation days since Thanksgiving, and this is the first full week back to work. Kinda kicking my butt. LOL First week of vacation for the new year is next week though. The advantages of almost 25 years in the same job. Rolling into the new year with almost 40 hours of unused time off despite using 4 out of 5 weeks of vacation and only working about 15 days between Thanksgiving and Christmas. After next week, nothing scheduled until mid April. One thing about DQ3 2D HD I really liked it that multi-hit weapons could crit on *any* enemy. I'm fairly certain that in most games you can only crit on the first hit ( if at all ) with multi-hit weapons. So satisfying when you get more than one in cases like that large group of metal slimes. I'm fairly certain that in the bulk of the games, multi-hit weapons can't crit at all. I always go with Bianca. I tried the other two one time each. Nera has the bard who was questing for the rings out of love, not greed. And Deb... Well... LOL It's not a critical choice, really. The brides all have different ability sets and equipment draws. You can sort of argue Deb is the most interesting and I think she's the strongest physical attacker, but the difference isn't remotely make-or-break. I believe Nera leans more into magic and Bianca is a balance between both magic and physical. There's one other cosmetic difference later, and that's it. The rings are actual accessories that can be quite useful. Hope you remembered to re-equip your new bride before the first battle. I'm behind, and you're doing some back-to-back recording, so no help reminding you right now. I don't think it's full Startropics Syndrome. I think it's just Bianca and Briscoletti you need to talk to in order to advance the plot.
Got to love that built up vacation time. Thats carzy you still had that much left, hopefully they let some rollover? Thats nice that the 2DHD allows you to crit any during multi hits. I don't know if I have even seen a first hit critical in my playthroughs yet of the series. The wedding scenes were interesting. It was nice to see there were some subtly differences, even if in the end as the story progresses it will still play out somewhat the same.
