    Good stuff Gash, I've got the same manifold setup in my fridge. My next cheap project will be to upgrade each line with a blowtie valve on each output so I can independently control the pressure to each keg! ;)

    Same here Gash.. kicked the all hosing system straight to rubbish bin, removed the Font too and made timber one just behind the bar with that Guard screwed on wall. I am using similar manifold for years, since I bought Kegerator ages ago and no drama at all. Cheers for sharing mate!

    Do you need to clean the gas lines and manifold/fittings when building this ?

    Cheers Gash - got the same fittings. Am getting ready to do a similar thing in my kegerater. Cheers

    Nice bud I've the same manifold but with 6 connection on it,good tip about finger tight and 180° later which I never did. I did find the last time I lost gas was the fittings, the JG fittings had crumbled not all just the off one. Cheers

    • @HomeBrewNetwork
      @HomeBrewNetwork  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      These ones are a little bit better than JG, as in the sealing around a line, but yeah I could see the odd one failing though, I'll keep an eye on them . Cheers and thanks mate

    Just bought my first batch of duotight fittings. My old setup with vinyl hosing has leaked twice in the last 2 months emptying brand new CO2 tanks twice in the process (once the day I had to bottle up for a competition!). Very much looking forward to putting them all back together with the new fittings and tidying up the whole system this weekend.
    Any watchouts after you've been using these for a few years now?

    Loved the video. When you switched lines to EVABarrier, what size I.D. are you using? There's several different sizes and I'm trying to decide which.

      I use 4mm ID at the moment. Around 2.5m

    No way! I thought it would be way more complicated and cost way more money! The think I love about your channel is Aussie $ translates well to Canadian. I have to source differently but in my head this was what I thought the hardest part was. It is not something I can do today... but maybe in the future I can have a keg or 2. I am thinking in a freezer with a temp controller but I don't even know if it would work. I have a lot of education to get in this category. I know for a experienced guy this was easy... but for newbs it is pretty amazing.

      @@HomeBrewNetwork Yeah It's a good recipe, thanks for sharing! couldn't help from commenting as I took a scoop of flesh outta a finger the other day with a barbed fitting using eva barrier 5mm ID 8mm OD found the old harder line works better with barbs? eva's seems too soft? fine for duotight though I recon, Cheers :)

      @2F51RL 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@totallyrandomlocksandpicks ; Thanks for mentioning you found old harder line better for barbs. I don't trust ANY push-ins. I have no end of trouble with RO water leaks thru them, so can't see gas being any more reliable. KeeGland ;) does admit (in a low whisper) that ''micro'' leaks are possible with their u-beaut Duotight too, e.g. when line is strained or at an angle. I notice Gash didn't bend the tube in them like he did on the JG ones. Sex sells tho, and nothing say sexy like pushing in your pipe. Hahaha.
      I'm glad there were lots of out-of-stocks (OOS) in the gas dept during the lead-up to Fermzilla's release. It gave me time to read some things I might've otherwise missed, like force carbonation with commercial CO2 (99.5% pure), being enough on its own to oxidise a carefully nurtured Low Oxygen Brewing beer (per Bryan Rabe) to the degree of throwing away the clean malt flavors at the very end, to say nothing of what it does to hops aroma and storage life. The numbers are well researched and published in brewery papers. Now I'm going to skip right to natural carbonation via spunging and collecting the excess spunge gas (purest CO2) to push the beer around (just like the big boys do). With no push-in fittings.

      @@2F51RL I gotta say most interesting comment reply I read all week, I've been doing the same sort of research my self, bottled on and off for 15 years or more finally set up a a serving, fridge fementer fridge w/stc1000 &heater belt, co2, found the local HB supplies 5x the price of either KK or KK how ever started on barbs and hard line (which I believe doesn't work so well with duotight fittings) Use duotight as I have 12M of it and a few duotight fittings. Actually made my own diy spuding valve same thing as Kegland (KeeGland lmfao ;) gear minus the blowtie simply a ball valve on the end, same principle. Going to have a crack at knocking the sanitiser out of a 19ltr KegKing ball lock with a 50ltr SS keg to be used as a fementer then anaerobic transfer to the secondary/serving keg plan to do 40-45 liter batches (prob 40) depending/allowing for sufficient head space in the fementer. Lucky to have scored 3 x 50lts and A-type micromatic couplers to suit so I've reconfigured them to use ball lock fittings just going to use the gas in as a blow off to a bottle and a one way check valve in the case any thing made it's way towards the pressure gauge. Then once things are working capture that C02 and flush the 19's Eventually I'd like to go back to bottling whilst still kegging, however using a counter pressure filler. Slowing but surely... Happy brewing mate, Cheers!
