I love that Nick was the first person Meredith had a romantic spark with after Derek. Their attraction and chemistry was so strong it managed to pull her out of her romantic dormancy. But she needed all those other flings and relationships in those intervening seasons to actually be ready for another serious, life partner relationship. I liked those other men too, but it feels like they were in different ways preparing her to find this mature stable love again with Nick

did anyone else notice how they ended things the same way they started? nick slipped a note under mer's hotel door and just as he rounded the corner she came out and that's how they "began". they ended their story on the show with it but reversed with mer slipping nick the note. kinda full circle moment that shows how far mer has come

I haven't followed the story but out of all the personalities, I think of her first when I need some romance. I want to know what she's doing, who she's with, how she's coping with the kids. I want to see her in every scene on TH-cam and I feel horrible when she's sad. I hate it when she spends so much time with the kids or she's at work so much even when I know she has to be this way.
I like him there too but we barely ever see him :( maybe now Speedman can make guest appearances once in a while while the character has his happy love life elsewhere.

When I saw the plane turbulence scene I was thinking that Richard and Bailey had to deal with the previous plane crash and I wondered if they thought about the experience that Meredith, Derek and the others had.

I've been watching this show since it premiered 19 years ago.. I do think Meredith is unbearable, entitled and extremely hypocritical at times. She makes it difficult to love her .

Their entire friendship was based on how they loved someone else. That wouldn't be healthy at all. They were grieving buddies and helped each other when they needed it. Plus I don't think the actors would have agreed to kiss each other - they looked pretty uncomfortable with that.
I cannot be the only one that absolutely hates Scott Speedman being Meredith's love interest. The chemistry is so blah and she deserves fireworks and explosions. But based off of these comments, I guess I'm the sole hater of Meredith and Nick...
