I believe you're suppose to use a leave-in of your choice with the Melanin Hair Care cream, whether styling on wet or dry/damp hair. Your style still came out great though.
Naptural’s instructions were to use a leave in of your choice then the hair butter and oil. I used with more water, leave in then her two products. I loved it. She said it was buildable. It is a very light product, which I like. The two products work very well together. It’s a great moisturizer. My hair is shorter then yours and I use more product than you. It pulled apart and separated very easily.
I just tried it today. Waiting to see how it will work. Washed my hair sectioned it used the leave in , bitter and oil on my ends and a little on my scalp
I braided mine in sections and twisted the ends so it will be curly. I have low porosity hair and its a 3b. Thick but curly hair. I just don't like shrinkage and I use cold water to rinse

I absolutely love Whitney's products! I had stopped wearing twist out due to all the frizz and dryness that would take place. But when I used these products with my favorite leave in condition...on a recent twist out! OMG! I was almost in tears it came out so beautiful! Yours did too! And it stayed moist for days! Love it!

@@MissQueen131 Girl don't do it. I've transitioned for a year and three months and I know and feel your struggle of detangling two textures. In my opinion, I would try out a detangling brush and conditioners with slip. You can go on shanique's store and buy one for $15. Also, heat!! Adding heat to my pre-poos and deep conditioners made my hair very manageable
It depends on the results you are looking for. The product is very buildable. You and Whitney have about the same thickness of hair and she tends to build up the product. Also, USE A LEAVE IN!!! LOL The leave in works well with the product. I just used her entire line this weekend and I used wetline gel with it and the oil and my hair came out soooooo GOOOD. I wish I could insert a pic. I left my twist in for about 4 days and my twist out is on day 2 and still looks very good. I've gotten so many compliments on my hair. I want to try just the twisting cream and the leave in but yes... I love her products.

I have also used The Mane Choice 3 in one conditioner as a leave in and that works well also. I find that the twist elongating cream is more of a sealing butter. It definitely plays well with others.
Hey Shanique, your hair came out really nice. I definitely want to see you use these products on wet hair. Whitney does use a leave in so yes I would definitely use a leave when you decided to use the products again. I also will be picking them up I can’t wait to try them out

I put WAY more cream than THAT in my hair. It doesn't leave any residue and it dries down amazingly!!! The hold is everything yet still soft and pliable. And you won't have any frizz. That way you'll have more definition in your twist. My hair is thicker and longer than yours and that is how I achieve the definition that I absolutely don't have. You look so BEAUTIFUL!!!!!! 😍💗
For the experience with this line on newly washed hair, maybe first try doing it only on one section of your hair, like a grid comparison? Your favorite product lines, on one side of your head and Melanin on the other
Tried them with a wash n go with the WetLine Xrreme gel and loved it my hair lasted way longer than any other product combo I’ve tried. Want to see you do another twistout on wet hair. I love your results though.
You're looking beautiful. I love the twist out. I have Whit's product also, and use it with my wash-n-go. Twistouts and I don't get along, LoL. I've been using my regular leave-ins with it without a problem. My hair is medium porosity so it seems to be okay with most products as far as how they absorb or coat. Which makes my hair life pretty easy.
