I am not a knitter but wish I was. But I love watching you talk about your knitting projects. Your passion and enthusiasm is just WOW. I get excited just watching and cheering you on. Love you girl!!!
Love watching all your crafts especially your knitting. Just watched Sticks strings and other things here on TH-cam who also showed all her beautiful yarn and what she wants to knit for fall.
This was a very fun video! The enthusiasm you share about knitting is contagious. I’m not a knitter but I certainly wish I was. The language of knitting is a little different than quilting and stitching. Thanks for sharing.
I want your energy! I love your plans and so enjoy listening to you talk about all the garments you want to knit. I want to be you when I grow up and be such a proficient knitter!!🩷💕💕
Love this video and so many beautiful sweaters. Great yarn choices too. I am not a fan of seaming but it’s a good skill to learn. I did a baby sweater and seamed that so it was easy to learn. I use Andrea Mowry’s video for cabling without a needle. That seemed to click for me but there’s plenty out there. Cables take a lot of yarn but they are so worth it. Enjoy your knitting.
Such amazing sweaters ❤ love them all! I can not recommend learning to cable without a cable needle highly enough. It’s a game changer, it’s not hard (if I can do it - trust me you can!) and you’ll wonder why you waited so long. 10/10 recommend 😊
I love watching your videos. I do not knit but I enjoy your style and all your excitement for your up coming projects and finishes. With working, cross stitch, and quilting don’t think I will throw knitting into the mix. But watch on and enjoy I will😃
How Fun to hear your progress and plans! It is exciting to see your beautiful yarns come to life. The purple sweater you are currently stitching is fab. Be Well
When I used to knit they were all bottom up … in four sections (front, back, 2 sleeves) that you stitched together after !! I’m constantly amazed looking at your stitches about how much it has changed! Even socks are different. I’d love to knit again - especially seeing all your sweaters - but I’m worried about it reducing my cross stitch time!!
I love your knitting plans. I've seen so many Traveler hoodies and they all look so good. I have also been quite enjoying your progress on your Alpine. It is such a great piece.
Your selection of knits upcoming or already in progress are fantastic. I might be more excited than you to see that cardigan completed 🤣 It’s gorgeous!
I love the colour work sweater and also the one you are wearing! I’m going on a sock day workshop in Canberra this week, inspired by you! A new rabbit hole!
Wow, that’s a lot of knitting! I’m working on the Woolstok wrap (striped garter stitch rectangle! And that’s about all I can handle 😂. Wish you’d come visit Kansas, I’m between the Yarn Barn and MSQC - so much to shop for!🩷
Wow, Liz! You have some beautiful projects on your to make list. You are very inspiring and now I want to knit something. I am going to search in Ravelry to see what I might want to knit. I spend winters in Florida so I will need a lighter weight yarn to knit with. Can’t wait to give knitting a try once again!
I highly recommend Knitting For Olive cotton merino as a lightweight yarn! Its fingering weight so it takes a lot of knitting to get a finished garment but the fabric the yarn makes is so nice and not heavy feeling!!
Great pattern choices. You choose a lot of designers and patterns that I'm not familiar with. It's really fun to be introduced to new things. For a fingering lace held double, have you looked at the Love Note by TinCan Knits? I love mine. Another pattern to maybe check out are the Nydia sweaters by Vanessa Smith. They're just dk weight, and she's done a sweater and cardigan. The texture is amazing! I did my first pieced sweater last year, and it really wasn't bad. Very Pink Knits has a great mattress stitch tutorial that helped me a lot. I had also meant to mention a while ago, you were working on one of your striped projects and you should check out the Weaving Stephen technique by Stephen West for securing your ends. I've used it on a mini skein shawl and liked it. I know Crazy Sock Lady uses it for her scrappy socks too.
Love & been watching all your talent for very long time! Such an inspiration for me! Credit needs attention too how amaz you look too! Have you been loosing wieght? look AMAZING!!!
Hello, I have just cast on two new sweaters. The first is Calliope by Espace Tricot and I am using Frankie Grey Fibers , making it two-tone instead of a solid that itnis shown in. Great pattern. The second, cast on today😮 is the Pink Fizz by Andrea Mowry and I am using Upcycle Alpaca Blend by Knit picks in the colorway Fossil.
My knit group has been using hand dyed yarn, and to avoid looking, we've been using helical knitting. It seems to work very nicely. Next time you're near big D you should go to ewe 2 yarn. Trudy and Lee's yarn is the best. I love your stripped sweater. The red yarn is a great color against your face.
Thanks for sharing your plans. I am a beginner knitter but learned increases and decreases while knitting mittens. I started with a scarf, then mittens, then a hat - so I love a challenge. Was just wondering how to jump in the garment pool and it sounds like Stripe Hype is the way to go assuming I could just do one color if I want. Thanks for the enabling Liz!!
I really need to learn how to knit. I’m a crocheter, cross stitcher, card maker, and paper crafter, but girl you make me want to knit! Love, love, love your knitted projects and excitement. Where can I learn how to knit online? Any suggestions? Have a wonderful week!❤
I have been learning to knit... I still cross-stitch more, so I usually only get an hour to practice. Who did you watch when you were learning??? You have just picked it up and ran with it!!! I'm so impressed!!!
Have watched you off and on the last couple years, your instructional videos on stitching project bags were so perfect I made about 10 of them and want to make more. I am a cross stitcher. I’m also a knitter since I was in 2nd grade (I am now 72). I have NEVER knit a sweater from the TOP DOWN.. silly question as I should just plow ahead and try it, but would You consider it more difficult than bottom up? It just seems backwards to me 🤪 so many GORGEOUS patterns out there and so many are top down I’m Just a big chicken I guess yikes 😬🙄. I wanna go knit just watching you. Keep up the great videos !
Love all your knitting projects! I am a multi crafter as well and am a beginner knitter. I am almost done my first pair of socks and would love to make a sweater. Do you have any suggestions for a beginner sweater?
Not to mess with your plans, but have you seen that Johanna is currently hosting a KAL for her funky sweaters? If you write her you get added to the KAL and there is a discount on the pattern. The yarn for my Jean should arrive tomorrow 🙂
Wow, that’s a lot of knitting! I’m working on the Woolstok wrap (striped garter stitch rectangle! And that’s about all I can handle 😂. Wish you’d come visit Kansas, I’m between the Yarn Barn and MSQC - so much to shop for!🩷

Thanks Caroline!! Its definitely on my to do list! I've been procrastinating finishing my cabled socks because cables slow me down so much!
love your colorful fall plans!!

Thank you for sharing your knitting talent. ❤

Liz, you have some fantasy stitching plans coming up. I love the yarn choices and all the patterns . You go girl
Loved all of the wool and patterns. I still think my all-time fav so far is the striped one you’re wearing! Also, that Jean sweater is really cute!
yeah the stripe hype is still so good! So nice I want to knit it twice 😂

oh fun!! I love the Pink Fizz!!
Great plans for the fall, I may have to go digging to find some crochet sweaters…
Sewrella has a really pretty crochet sweater pattern that I believe is free! My mom made it!
@@elizabethanncanstitch ooh, going to look!

I taught myself how to knit over 20 years ago using books and random internet videos, before youtube!
Yep. I’m going to need to knit that hoodie. 😂
right?? I cannot wait to get the yarn for that!

Make the Large. 🎉
Have you tried Russian purling? It's really more fun than regular purling. There are several YT tutorials on Russian Purling out there.
oh no I haven't heard of that! I will definitely look it up!
Have you seen the Crafty Toads? They dye yarn and suggest patterns.
ooh no I haven't! I will check them out!
❤❤❤
Not to mess with your plans, but have you seen that Johanna is currently hosting a KAL for her funky sweaters? If you write her you get added to the KAL and there is a discount on the pattern. The yarn for my Jean should arrive tomorrow 🙂
I guess I'm going to need to start yarn shopping for that...😍
With DRK patterns, you can safely assume the sleeves will be too narrow. Just so you can be aware ahead of time.
Ooh ok good to know!
😊😊
😊🧵🪡🤗🤩
