Seems like the core deals to complete are Zirkzee (already done) , De Ligt (seemingly next up) and a defensive minded CM (likely Ugarte) ; anything beyond that likely held up by sales. I like Zubimendi but this seems a bit of a sudden random link ; have to see if that gains any momentum , but doesn't seem like we have allocated that much funds (lets say Ugarte and Zubimendi combined fees) for the midfield. Should have gone for a Wieffer or Fofana for another quality CM option on the cheap. Ugarte i suspect going back and forth a bit on the fee and terms of the deal etc. We might be having another look around at other CMs but that should get moving unless PSG ask for over the odds all the sudden.
De Ligt we just need to get done , if he's on holiday already will have to be pending medicals and wait on total completion. But we do need that ready made / finished article RCB. MDL has big club and title winning experience and even as not the quickest CB has almost always played in high-line systems. And overall MDL is solid defensively , good in the air , high football IQ , physical and quite good on the ball. For that fee could be a real bargain , and should mostly compliment Licha quite well. My main concern is his pace (he isn't Maguire slow but he isn't very pacy either) but his IQ / positioning and experience in progressive systems , i'd expect he will be fine.
Rio was the same. Not fast but had great positioning.
@@1ntuthukozwane you might be thinking of aging Rio / near the end of his career but in his prime he was quite rapid ; especially his recovery pace. Vidic was the one with less pace between the two (not super quick but not terribly slow either) but NV's aggressiveness , reading of the game and positioning were all top notch. Rio near the end of his career his pace declined a bit but he still got by very well and was class and reliable via IQ , positioning and experience.

Alice what do you think the starting lineup will be at the back if everybody is fit with the incomings. We just sold wrong players and all deadwood still here. Varane could have kept for another 2 season and he accepted to take a big pay cut but ineos didn't want, Alvaro Fernandez and Kwambala should have been kept as back up option as we are thin in those position and their wages are cheap, with more game they cjld become good if not could have sold for more higher price. Now we are 2 CB down from last season and malacia still injured and shaw risky one on injury no back up for him. Start negotiations on CB we want out and in, then when they came in then sell the one out.
Ineos should have gone for guirassyit is their lost,very cheap on 20- 25m and at his peak, very good striker, a goal every match.
