Hi everyone! I’m Reddy Monika Kanuma, B.Tech graduate in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from ParvathaReddy Babul Reddy Visvodaya Institute of Technology & Science (PBR VITS), Kavali. In this video, I’ll share my journey from an Electrical Engineering background to landing my first role as a React Developer in the IT industry.
After graduating, I searched for jobs independently, applied on LinkedIn and other platforms. I received an offer from Wipro but waited a year for the letter that never came.This was tough, but my friends suggested I explore new opportunities, leading me to NxtWave.
With zero coding experience, I enrolled in the CCBP 4.0 course. The step-by-step teaching in my native language helped me build my skills. It took me about eight months to grasp the concepts, but I finally completed the course in August 2024.On October 14, 2024, I joined my first position as an Associate React Developer through an internship-cum-placement opportunity.
NxtWave has truly been a turning point in my career. Before joining, I learned coding basics from TH-cam but struggled with job applications and interviews. NxtWave provided valuable resources, including reminders for tests and interviews, and regular workshops.
My Mother always encouraged my education and she understands my potential for growth in this field. I plan to surprise her with a gift from my first salary and donate to a temple as a gesture of gratitude.
