For all teachers, using a football field is a great way to teach the number line.
Way cool! Go Eagles! Thanks Misty. ❤
Go BIRDS!!
Got my Seminoles fabric ready to go! GO NOLES!
Awesome as usual Misty!!! Great job!!
Nice job…. I place appliqué football players on mine …in black so they’re just silhouettes. Love this runner!
You are getting better in your teaching and ideas. Great project GO BEARS !
I need tutorial for SOCCER quilt and baseball field quilts for my grandsons!
You can get stencils for the numbers in many big box stores that sell poster making supplies or in office supply stores. Also, I’d prefer to piece in 1 inch unfinished (1/2 inch finished) yardage lines to keep the surface flatter for dishes placed on top. And the chenille roll is very pricey! Not sure why. It’s very lightweight cotton factory layered and stitched down the middle. I agree with others comments that chenille strips will collect food spills. Overall, cute idea and very well presented. Great idea for Super Bowl party or tailgating!
I was thinking the same as you except I think I mightbuse white bias tape for the lines. You could also use the fabric sheets that will go through your printer to make the numbers. 😊
What a fun project!! 🏈
Thank you Misty for this great video! You are a doll!
Hello Misty. I just had to tell you that I received my Christmas box today and although I am going to wait for the 12 days of Christmas, I did open box number 2. It is the cutest. I love it. Thank you to Missouri Star Quilt Company.
Love this! Thanks Misty
Always loved to throw game day parties, great idea to have that ready to go! Nice work 😊
I wish you make table runners or other sewing projects that don't need a long arm quilting or sewing machine quilting.
I am using vinyl numbers I can iron on.
Super cute project! Thanks!
Great idea Misty!
I need to make this for my daughter and son in law they are really big Saints fans
Misty. Very nice project cannot wait to make it. Great tutor 😊
I see an Ohio State one (or 2) in my near future. THANKS for the great tutorial!!
Adorable!
Like this table runner, hope to make one.
This is so cool!!! I see one in my future! Thank you!
Love this! Now I know what to make my besties for Christmas. GO BIRDS!!!
❤ Brilliant!
The words would actually be facing the 50 yard line rather than the stadium, on a real field. Nice idea.
I was thinking the same thing.
@@shariarnold1321Me too
Except that when you’re using the runner, it’s easier to read and looks better when displayed on a table since the guests are around the table or sideboard. I think that’s why she did it.
@@mountainsandmayhem739 guess it’s a matter of opinion
I want make one with opposing teams ! Thank you for such a great idea !
Great job Misty
Very cute
So cute
I have designed one for baseball season, you inspired me
Cute!! 🏈❤️🏈
Cute!
this is so cute making one for my son he loves football we are a Who Dat fan Saints all the way thank you love it
Great table runner! Never heard of the chenille it, so will have to add it to my list. Did you quilt over the chenille it, or in between it? I couldn’t tell from the completed quilt. Thanks for such fun projects. It makes quilting fun.
Go Chiefs! ❤🏈
Hey that was great. I would have to make too many specific ones for our house. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This is such a great idea for the buffet table. Just wondering if this is included in the Block magazine?
I made this!! It is awesome mine is MIZZOU!!! I love it !! I wish I could post a pic
I love chenille it but don't think I'd use it on something i want to serve food on. Maybe a honey bun?
💜💜💜
❤❤❤
Will you provide a link to the applique sheets for the numbers to download or do we have to buy the pattern to get that?
Do you quilt over chenille? Doesn’t that keep it from fraying?
I like to use my cricut machine when I’m cutting appliqué items.
I don't have a cricut machine. Wouldn't know how that works; but I heard it doesn't cut some unusual shaped patterns.
@@lindamorrison2758they also require a software subscription when using the machine. Even though you paid hundreds for your machine, you can’t use it without renting the software.
What stitch length are you using for the chenille?
Nice project! Would it be ok to put a different team at each end? Know someone thats love Georgia Dawgs & Alabama Crimson Tide!
We are a house divided. I'm from Philly, hub is a Texan. Mine will feature Eagles and Cowpies. 😂
Fly Eagles Fly
I think I'll use bias tape for the lines, I have plenty.
Looks like a fun project, but where do I find the patterns for the numbers on the yard lines?
I don’t see them on the free PDF.
Thanks.
I'm looking forward to watching more of your tutorials. I do have a question. I see you didn't prewash your fabrics. Do you ever recommend prewashing? I am torn on what to do especially with fat quarts and smaller fabric pieces.
We don't normally prewash our fabrics, however it is totally personal preference! Just be careful doing it as it can tend to fray the edges of precuts!
What size are the numbers? Is there a download for the ones you used?
I have a little broncos fabric that would work perfect,
I would love to make this but I can’t find white chenille roll anywhere!
I'm new to sewing and quilting - why is your thread fed through a tower?
What size eighth & width are the numbers? I don’t see them on the PDF. Is there another page?
I think you have to purchase the pattern but I calculate them to be about 1 1/2"-1 5/8" tall
I also made placemats
I would like to know if Missouri Star quilting has a video on chandelier quilting. And I'm not sure it's called chandelier on your TH-cam video.
Is this the one you are looking for? th-cam.com/video/Wy-sFNUwLNM/w-d-xo.html
Go Panthers, it will match my ceiling
On the #’s stitch length?
I would shorten my stitch length just a bit since the numbers are smaller. Lots of curves, the shorter stitch would make it easier to maneuver & more secure too. Maybe around 2.5 instead of 3.
Oh and I need an idea for hockey fans... got any?
I don’t see the numbers on the PDF.
same. I was coming here to see if anyone knew where to get the numbers.....
I guess you can use Word and fuss with the size and font...but would be better if they provided them.
@@marybethbellardini7187 in the video she said is was in the download, but it’s not.
@@cathyparnell6743 Thanks. I just downloaded some from the web. I figure they are ~1.5" high. One thing I found when searching is to check the size of the actual numbers. If you search for 1.5" templates, the template may be 1.5", but the number may only be 1".
I drew my own numbers and then cut them out of my white fabric, I could did not find the stencil I wanted
Time for a fresh needle. Sounds punchy.
Your machine sounds like you need a new needle.
Not a great day for the chiefs, or the niners. Happy Monday
I would/will zig-zag around the numbers.
