I believe the AAAs are my favorite class of boats on the Lakes. I always appreciate her Master Salute for her fallen friend every time she goes in or out of Duluth. I will stand right with you in ensuring her heritage is preserved as a museum ship. Long live the Arthur M Anderson.
I absolutely love watching them come and go! Stress, worry, not much care. Just you watching a ship and you and your problems just feel downright small
I love the way she just looks on ahead and the shiney lip gloss. ( the front anchors look like eyes to me and not sure what the shiney is where her mouth would be...)
I forgot how nice the summer thunder storms really are. The best are the night time thunder storms that light up the sky during the darkness of night. The best about the great lakes you can see the storms from many miles away. In southern california we very seldom hear thunder, maybe once every 5 years or so. The sierra nevada mountains have thunder storms very often maybe a few times a week at higher elevations as the humid air coming off the Pacific ocean is forced over the 12,000 to over 14,000 foot elevation of the high sierras in the summer.
Thank you very much for posting! Such a beautiful ship! Great crowd to greet her as well!
I swear this boat can never be scrapped. She must, must, must! Become a museum piece some day.
Agreed

Not sure where my original reply went but thank you! She and Lee Tregurtha have absolutely amazing histories, they definitely deserve that honor
Watching the ships come in is the ultimate stress reliever

Is this present time or earlier in the year?
This was in June
What’s her cargo? Ore?
@@maxj0930 coming in empty, leaving with iron ore a day or so later
She just sails on
Not many of these LAKERS LEFT
🙂👋🚢❤
Last known ship to be in contact with the Edmund Fitzgerald the day she sank.
I Thank The Arthur for trying to help Edmund Fitzgerald 😢
