Very informative to a fresher in US like me. Waiting for your next video. Brother you sound like a family to freshers like us in US. Gonna book a slot now.
Good information ankit. Could you tell how to build a SCM career in India ? I'm already doing a job in Procurement since the last 2.5yrs in Oil & Gas field. Any information would help. Thanks
Hey Karan, Three recommendations- I am no expert myself, in your case scm is completely different in oil and gas and much more complex than compared to retail. In your case I will highly recommend a 1 year mba from college like ISB Hyderabad campus and then 1 or 2 year in consulting in scm focused vertical and you will be all set for the life. All of this is easier said then done. Another way can be upskilling in oil and gas field, for this I will highly recommend rewatching out to leaders who are already doing good in your field and have similar academic or professional journey as yours. Try to think about a problem in SCM and try to build something of your own.
Hello Ankit, Excellent video for SCM, I have also graduated in 2016 and working in the field of sales and operation for more than 6 years. I have also got admit from UTD for MS in SCM with 50% scholarship for fall 2024 and spring 2025. How would you rate the University for SCM?
Great, congratulations on your admit. With 50 percent scholarship it’s a good deal for you to seriously think about utd. However it depends on your other admits as well, in UTD you will se a lot of freshers and folks with less than 1 years of experience so in terms of networking I won’t say it’s the best option but yes Richardson is a alright place to live in. Overall the vibe is Dallas is sad. But with your experience you should be able to grab good internship and that’s the key to ultimate good life in the USA doesn’t matter how bad or good utd is, university only matters to a point until it’s MIT / Harvard types.
@@Ankit-SCM Thanks Ankit for your quick response and guidance. I am sure it will help me to take better decision. I was just curious regarding the fee structure, can you tell how much the tuition fee will be per semester, if I take 12 credit hours for fall 2024.(approximately).

halo bro i have completed my degree in BSc computers science and i got job in MSc shipping company as a assistant executive in a MSc shipping company in Hyderabad now i want to do MBA in logistics background is Iam eligible for doing which course or stream should i choose pls reply me it would be a great help
For now if someone know basic stuff like - 1. Super Basic Excel Skill( which can be learnt in 1 -2 day ) 2. Effective communication And is a undergrad, they can start out to seek roles in Inventory planning, logistics, procurement to start. a major part of roles will be highly data invested too for which ability to run queries through SQL would be preferred and also having understudying of python and advance level excel. These would be the two skills which can sort out alot of things initially for a entry level role and ultimately as you grow in career you can hone a lot of relevant skills basis what you actually feel like doing in supply chain. FYI - more technically sound you are, it can help you to kick start your career and being paid handsomely too, but it’s not at all required for a lot of roles too! If you are someone trying to figure things out, mail me what you want to do career wise and I might be able to help you Mail your question and CV @ ankitkumar44881@gmail.com I might be able to help you better
Sir... I have completed my graduation in Btech civil engineering in 2018.....after that I was preparing for upsc Civil service exams...... So I don't t have any work experience. So is it possible for a profile like mine to get admission for scm masters and even if I get admission is it possible for me to get into a job after my masters (since I don't have work experience will the companies reject me)..?
Hi sir, Your story and mine has few common dots, for sure you can get admit in the USA. Feel free to mail me or connect with me on LinkedIn, we can find some time in coming two weeks and discuss further on this :)
Hi brother!! I am pursuing mechanical engineering 4th year now and got admit at UTD this fall. Should I directly join the course or get 1-2 year experience?
Congratulations, go ahead and directly join the course. Lately having a experience of 2 years won’t be that beneficial compared to coming now. I have few friends with no work experience prior to masters and now are doing better than me or other folks with experience Just focus on getting your summer internship . Feel free to connect with me on LinkedIn
thanks broooooo.....i am just like you. i have no interest in coding even though i know there is good money in it and dream to break free of the 9-5 job and start some business of my own. What is your opinion of studying masters in supply chain in europe ? Isn't it easier to settle there or do you suggest me trying to study in the US itself ?
It won’t be easier to settle anywhere once we leave our motherland till me start me good amount of money, that is for sure. Plus missing home can be really quite a big thing. I don’t have much idea regarding Europe try to connect with few alums from your field working in Europe and see if they can give you some real insight. For USA, if you going through the channel of education loan for masters, then come with a mindset of giving it all in for next 2 - 3 years and you won’t regret it, market is very tough right now.

Thank you for your message, just to be clear you meant the skills one learn from this course or the skill one should have to consider a future in SCM ?
@@harshrajmahida_0239 Great question, here are a few helpful skills - Please note that within supplychain, there are lot of funcstions and essential skills will be too diferent for a supply chain analyst working in a automobile company compared to a strargic sourcing person in retail. i would highly recomment you to have a one on one with me for 20 min, which is free of cost to discuss specific about your liking and we can get down to few particular skills to target on! Following are skills in general which i will be usefull to learn. Effective leadership & Communication Data analysis: MS Excel, SQL Inventory Management: Forecasting, Demand Planning Lean Six Sigma Business inteligence tools like microstratergy etc. Supply chain Sustainability AI & Robotics in Fullfilment and warehousing There's so many things going on, future seems exciting for sure:)
You can surely get admission with 74% marks but not only with your marks. You would be required to write GRE, and a foreign language test like TOEFL, a Statement of purpose and preferably one or two letter of recommendation. Basically if you plan for masters aboard in a reasonably good university plan 6 month ahead at-least before applying

Ankit bhai, ek ques tha, after scm what if i wanna switch my career to join some other field lets say some finance field, will they hire me with scm degree or am I stuck with the supply chain field for life long
Hi bro, with scm if you want to switch to finance it will totally depend on your core capabilities like accounting etc, while doing your masters you can select your course in a way that you are well versed with finance and supply chain both, like I did my masters in supply chain but my current role is not a core supply chain role it’s 70 % marketing 30 %supply chain

Brother, bro it hardly matters in terms of just curriculum name. While pursuing mba you can focus on subjects in a way that they are more towards global ops , global logistics overall global supply chain in general, companies like Apple , tesla hire a lot on all these positions. Overall try to see the repo of your targeted college, if you can study hard core try to file for MIT , UT Austin And keep UTD as a safe net
Bro Australia ka all I know is, job Market is not that promising for scm, like I have a friend he did his scm masters from Australia and then from USA as he was unable to get any job in Australia. So I will recommend if possible explore other options also like seeing you are a fresher try for northeastern university in the USA. They have great Co-op program which help student to get a internship for 6 month
Hi brother, I am looking to do scm in abroad, before that I want to do a short term certification related to scm. Can you suggest me some certifications.
Bro dont do certification as such Try to learn excel, sql, you can also do some course on basic finance as well if you like businesses to start with. For certification see if there’s some great speaking courses available. It will really set you apart. Certification are over hyped in most cases anyways.
Hello This side Barnana I did my graduation in bsc.agriculture Now doing a job at banking sales Currently I'm thinking of shifting my domain to supply chain management certification course Is that will be helpful for me in my career..?? Please suggest
Hi Barnana, I am not sure of a certification course which can guarantee a good job switch in supply chain in India, as you are already working in banking if you can hone your analytics skills like excel, sql and move towards a supply chain role in saas based company I think it will be a good switch for you. Or consider doing 1 year mba from ISB in India and do internships in supply chain and transition to a full time role which will also ensure a hockey stick growth in your career

halo bro i have completed my degree in BSc computers science and i got job in MSc shipping company as a assistant executive in a MSc shipping company in Hyderabad now i want to do MBA in logistics background is Iam eligible for doing which course or stream should i choose pls reply me it would be a great help
Hi, are you looking for mba abroad or in India ?
Hey there can you please mention some of the skills one should have to consider a future in SCM
For now if someone know basic stuff like -
1. Super Basic Excel Skill( which can be learnt in 1 -2 day )
2. Effective communication
And is a undergrad, they can start out to seek roles in Inventory planning, logistics, procurement to start.
a major part of roles will be highly data invested too for which ability to run queries through SQL would be preferred and also having understudying of python and advance level excel.
If you are someone trying to figure things out, mail me what you want to do career wise and I might be able to help you
Mail your question and CV @ ankitkumar44881@gmail.com
I might be able to help you better
Great information 💯
Thank you :)
Sir... I have completed my graduation in Btech civil engineering in 2018.....after that I was preparing for upsc Civil service exams...... So I
don't t have any work experience. So is it possible for a profile like mine to get admission for scm masters and even if I get admission is it possible for me to get into a job after my masters (since I don't have work experience will the companies reject me)..?
And I thought of applying in France since they have compulsory internships... Wat is ur opinion on this?
Hi sir,
Your story and mine has few common dots, for sure you can get admit in the USA.
I have few friends with no work experience prior to masters and now are doing better than me or other folks with experience
Just focus on getting your summer internship .
Hello Mr. Kumar,
I am from Bangladesh. I have recently completed my bachelor's in Supply Chain Management. I have done my internship in Kuehne Nagel, (Dhaka Office, Dhaka, Bangladesh). Currently, I am thinking about to do my Masters' in a STEM designated program, on specific in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, etc. Could you please help with choosing university and which states would be better for the supply chain career opportunities.
Hi Akil,
Have you written your GRE as of now or are you Planning to apply without one ?
Next video on pharma IT opportunities please 🥺
What do you think about operation and supply chain together ??
Supply chain and operations goes together
Is it important to have prior supply chain management experience or studies at graduation level in India?
I come from CRM roles majorly.. can I still pursue this?
No, not required at all.
Hi bro. First of all thanks for making this informative video.

Thank you for your message, just to be clear you meant the skills one learn from this course or the skill one should have to consider a future in SCM ?
@@Ankit-SCM skill which helpful for future in SCM and important for job .
@@harshrajmahida_0239 Great question, here are a few helpful skills -
Please note that within supplychain, there are lot of funcstions and essential skills will be too diferent for a supply chain analyst working in a automobile company compared to a strargic sourcing person in retail.
i would highly recomment you to have a one on one with me for 20 min, which is free of cost to discuss specific about your liking and we can get down to few particular skills to target on!
Following are skills in general which i will be usefull to learn.
Effective leadership & Communication
Data analysis: MS Excel, SQL
Inventory Management: Forecasting, Demand Planning
Lean Six Sigma
Business inteligence tools like microstratergy etc.
Supply chain Sustainability
AI & Robotics in Fullfilment and warehousing
There's so many things going on, future seems exciting for sure:)
@@Ankit-SCM thank you for all the important information 🙏🏽😊 and please try to make more videos about SCM .
Vai gmat required?
Can i get admission with 74% marks from undergraduate.
@@Ankit-SCM Hi bro.. If i take gre online this year.. And use that score after 3 years.. Will there be any problem?
Great information sir. I also have intereste in this filed. Can i choose indian colleges rather than US .
For sure, other than too IIMs, srcc also has a good mba program for global ops
You can look into that as well
I wanna do it from Germany and my UG is in hotel management i want to know if it’s good for me
The public university are good return on investment in Germany

I worked in Amazon and now working in Zomato Hyperpure as a Manager , I want to do masters what course should choose or I should do MBA ??? Let me know
Great, I have also worked at HyperPure by zomato.
Masters can be slightly convenient to get into compared to MBA, but the decision can depend on a lot of factors

How is Charleston southern university for mba in supply chain management?
Hi,
Sorry i don’t have much info abhi this one, will recommend to connect with alum of this university for first hand on ground reality insights
I know 3 students from my batch who did masters in SCM in the USA and they are CA in India.
Procurement roles really prefer this kind of combo
@@Ankit-SCM oh ohkayy thanks for the clarification bro, one more thing, which country is better for scm CAN or USA? coz im really confused with this one
What about Germany? Im trying to fet into MSc in supply chain and logistics... Can u please guide me.
Bhaiya, Mai manoranjan sah. Mai bhi supply chain management me career banana chahta hoo. our mai abhi coursera se supply chain management me specialization course bhi kar raha hoo. mai apse our bhu kuchh puchna chahta hoo.

Hi Keshav,
Thank you for reaching out, I have got your mail.
Will get back to shortly
lol you don't need coding for that... SCM is a business major.
Internship Kis company me lagi aur work experience do sal se kam ho to
Question smjha nhi mai aapka , internship kis company mai lg skti h if experience is less than 2 years ye pucha h ?
Brother i am working in logistics for 4 years......i did my graduation in BA...and i am planning for mba...which on is good Logistics and supply chain management or oprations...
Brother, bro it hardly matters in terms of just curriculum name.
While pursuing mba you can focus on subjects in a way that they are more towards global ops , global logistics overall global supply chain in general, companies like Apple , tesla hire a lot on all these positions.
Overall try to see the repo of your targeted college, if you can study hard core try to file for MIT , UT Austin
And keep UTD as a safe net
Bro how is Australia for supply chain and should I do MSC or mba in supply chain management. I don't have any experience.. what will you recommend
Is there any numerical or financial courses on Masters in the Supply chain . i wanna ignore numerical and mathematics in masters please help bro
Yes, we do need to complete one accounting subject during masters which is a core subject as well
Great Bhai
Hi sir I completed my bachelor in Bsc with chemistry subject.. can I do SCM in germany.
Yes sir, you can. They might ask you to take some maths classes additional to what the course already has
Can I take your email I wanna do the same career in Germany maybe we can help each other

Hi brother, I am looking to do scm in abroad, before that I want to do a short term certification related to scm. Can you suggest me some certifications.
Bro dont do certification as such
Try to learn excel, sql, you can also do some course on basic finance as well if you like businesses to start with.
For certification see if there’s some great speaking courses available. It will really set you apart.
Certification are over hyped in most cases anyways.
@@Ankit-SCM Tq for the reply bro, i will definitely look into it
Hello This side Barnana
I did my graduation in bsc.agriculture
Now doing a job at banking sales
Currently I'm thinking of shifting my domain to supply chain management certification course
Is that will be helpful for me in my career..??
Please suggest
Hi Barnana, I am not sure of a certification course which can guarantee a good job switch in supply chain in India, as you are already working in banking if you can hone your analytics skills like excel, sql and move towards a supply chain role in saas based company I think it will be a good switch for you.
Or consider doing 1 year mba from ISB in India and do internships in supply chain and transition to a full time role which will also ensure a hockey stick growth in your career

Hi bhai
Supply chain Mai Abhi you started working ya looking for roles ?
Does this course require engineering knowledge?
I’m an management student and I’ve heard that this course is quantitative and requires engineering background
No, being a engineer is not a requirement.
You just need to focus, all skills can be learned while pursuing your masters
And is it something like girls can not apply???
Its a management/commerce course not engineering one.
bhai need a counselling session with you, please 🙏
Very helpful sirji
Thank you sir for watching :)
