It kinda feels like Ethan/Blake is trapped and Lost Silver is trying to prevent you from saving him. Hence the fast switching near the end as Blake is trying to ask for help while Lost Silver is threatening you.
Lost Silver doesn't want to hurt BF. Unlike the pokemon on the background, The pokemon wants to. Mount Silver doesn't want, too. The both Silvers are harmless creatures, That suffered in different ways.
I mean both end up dying and having all of their progress lost but Mt. Silver Gold only died when trying to find Red, with Lost Silver dying from unknown means but we just know however he died involved his arms and legs getting ripped off and his eyes gouged out, Mt. Silver Gold losing an arm, leg, and eye due to falling on Mt. Silver and soon died from hypothermia it's kinda hard to really say Only benefits that Lost Silver's Gold would have is that at least his body was found and given a grave, meaning he WAS found after his death, but due to the rules of Mt. Silver (Being that ONLY the champion can go there) Mt. Silver Gold would never be found and would be left to freeze since no one else would 'legally' be allowed to follow him besides Red (who in both stories also die, along with both Gold's pokemon) :,)

With how it seems, Johto and Kanto started sharing the same Elite 4 either during Red's reign as champion or when he went missing. But it's made clear that when Red went "missing" not even Lance thought of checking Mt. Silver and so took the title back. So if Gold went "missing" then Lance would take up the title, and if Lance didn't think of Mt. Silver before he certainly wouldn't think of it then, and considering in Mt. Silver Gold loses an arm, a leg, and an eye due to injuries the loss of blood and hypothermia would kill him before Lance could get there even if Lance thought of Mt. Silver

Silver is basically a maze of a mountain on it's own the only things really stopping that would be if Gold's body is buried by the snow and ice or if the pokemon in Mt.
