yes I own a pair of Newport H2's I got them for Hawaii, we went hiking and I was the only one who was stable and helped everyone get across the rocks, now I will test them out hiking in Phoenix Arizona, I know they will be great, I also kayak a lot and have to sometimes climb my way around obstacles they are perfect, what a great buy these were.
I recently bought a new 2nd pair of Keen H2 Sandals. My originals are > 10 years old, I have enjoyed these as a swim team deck official, hiker, lake person, for casual use around town, who wore the soles out of my original H2's. I experienced the smell, my feet sweat. This was easily cleaned by scrubbing the footbed with liquid soap using an old tooth brush then drying in the sun.
These are surprisingly warm for chilly evenings in the Adirondacks. The arch support, overall comfort, traction is a key aspect of why I'm back for another pair. After > 10 years the stitching began to fail where the heel strap connects to the side strap. I repaired this by hand sewing. I will still use my old H2's for water use at the lake. I'm back for pair #2 because this is a quality product that has terrific traction, comfort, durability. I'm a fan of the toe box. This is an awesome go shoe for summer fun active wear.
I know its an old upload now but ive had my keen H2 for a while now. Ive got 2 pairs and they are excellent walking sandals. Used them in scotland and all over England walking hills and through streams👌 also used walking up caldera blanca in Lanzerote. Overall excellent fitting and durable.
quite the professional presentation, full of information, without the drama......I have used something, like this, on the AT.....
Thank you for the feedback on our video!
It was great to see a video review of the Water Shoes
We hope you enjoyed it!
My first pair of Keens was bought almost 10 years ago. A friend of mine swore by them. When he found out that I was going to Hawaii, he said.. You need to buy a pair.
At 1st I was like, heck no. Those things are so hideous. But then I started seeing them as a tool, like I carry a Leatherman Wave Plus, and a Benchmade crooked river pocket knife as my EDC.
So, off I went to try some on. They were just as ugly on as they were off. I purposefully kicked the corner of the pillar in the store and was greatly surprised that it really did its job. Something that my super comfortable Tevas couldn't do. So, I bought them.
I wore them EVERY DAY that I was in Kauai. I wore them on the beach, I wore them tubing, I wore them on the sand bar, and I wore them to dinner. I wore board shorts and Keens. No shirt and no product in my hair.
In Hawaii, I quickly realized that I was just a little Hawaiian, but in California, I was just a fat Mexican. 😅
But seriously, tide pools, hiking to waterfalls and even just walking around and in the pool at the resort, I wore my Keens.
I've since stopped wearing them and switched over to Tevas. But with my upcoming trip in September to Utah, where we will be visiting Zion and Bryce Canyon.. I need to go buy myself some more Keens. ❤
For smell use a good castille soap I.e Dr. Bronners and let dry in the sun or drier on low.
My Newport sandals have served me well over 5 or 6 years. They can be hot in the summer though. Was looking to replace with the more ventilated Venice model but they were more than I wanted to pay. Decided to go with the Atika closed toe sandal at a third of the price. Will they last a half dozen years? We'll see, but for now I can use the savings to buy the first round.
Personally, I would prefer the keens just based on structure. However I don't really have a lot of experience with Atikas. I'm sure they'll do just fine as well though.
Hey, is there a way to easily replace the cord in case it ever snaps? thx
Do a video of someone actually putting the shoe on ! You only show bungee system after shoe is on. Thank you.
