  • Jack is a 32-year veteran of the Central Intelligence Agency (“CIA”). Mr. Devine served as both Acting Director and Associate Director of CIA’s operations outside the United States from 1993-1995, where he had supervisory authority over thousands of CIA employees involved in sensitive missions throughout the world. In addition, he served as Chief of the Latin American Division from 1992-1993 and was the principal manager of the CIA’s sensitive projects in Latin America.
Between 1990 and 1992, Mr. Devine headed the CIA’s Counternarcotics Center, which was responsible for coordinating and building close cooperation between all major U.S. and foreign law enforcement agencies in tracking worldwide narcotics and crime organizations. From 1985-1987, Mr. Devine headed the CIA’s Afghan Task Force, which successfully countered Soviet aggression in the region. In 1987, he was awarded the CIA’s Meritorious Officer Award for this accomplishment.
Mr. Devine’s international experience with the U.S. government included postings to Latin America and Europe. During his more than 30 years with the CIA, Mr. Devine was involved in organizing, planning and executing countless sensitive projects in virtually all areas of intelligence, including analysis, operations, technology and management.

You guys are documenting history that no other creators are compiling: bringing amazing guests into the spotlight while they are still around and able to articulate their unique, history making journeys, in intricate detail, from beginning to end. These interviews belong in the national archives. And you guys deserve all the credit and recognition for creating such important and groundbreaking content.

I find it humorous when the guest is reluctant to elaborate on specifics because the audience/host will find what they have to say will be too boring, lol. Fascinating interview.

Reagan was the first person to call for Stingers for the mujahideen. Incredibly, he did this shortly after the Soviets invaded, as a Presidential candidate on campaign trail. It was a front page story in the Washington Post.

Great episode - however - w/all due respect, despite the fact that Mr. Devine has forgotten 1,000,000X what the average person will never know:
It was a COMPLETELY different world 30+ years ago.

The Committee for a Free Afghanistan played a significant and influential role in lobbying for the Afghan mujahideen. This is a story that has never been told. If you contact David Isby and Otilie English you might get a really interesting scoop.

Being a fan for team house as well as Sean Ryan show or vigilance elite from the beginning I really can’t understand why Sean Ryan show is so much more popular than team house. To my mind both are just as good I can’t see one is better than the other they’re both at the same level, yet strangely enough, Ryan show has like 30 times more viewers or subscribers. I should say. Some episodes of Sean Ryan are better than team house and with team house. Some episodes are better than the Shawn Ryan. The only difference I can really tell Shawn Ryan show does insert photos and sometimes videos throughout the interview. Also it has the timestamps something you might want to think about that way you can make like $60 million from a year like they do. From you tube. because quality wise you’re both on the same level quality of people interview and the questions that’s the only difference I can see something you might wanna think about to make those big bucks
