    My 2012 Jeep Liberty has two front turn signals that wont flash. I have power to tbe bulbs for parking lights and I have ground, but I not have power to either front left or right turn signal bulbs to flash. The rear turn signal bulbs work fine.

      Well, you were on the right track with that TPIM I’m pretty sure it’s probably bad, but if you don’t have the 200 bucks it cost to repair it, I would assume you could run the signal from the rear tail lights to the front even though that’s not the way it supposed to be it still would work

      Well generally when people say things like that to me I tell them to take it apart and put it back together again hopefully they will notice the mistake they possibly made

    Question, the Actual fuse box on a 2004 Liberty has relays behind it, or so I am led to believe. How do I access these as the rear defogger stopped working. All other fuses are fine its this relay R2 next to R1 windows

    I have a 2008 liberty and my locks isn’t working. It won’t let lock with the buttons in the car or my car key and idk what to do about it. You have any ideas or advice ?

      Sorry for not answering you sooner but what you wanna do is open the door and check in between there and make sure that the Wires aren’t broken between the door and the “A” pillar There’s a rubber accordion looking thing the wires will break on the inside of it and then cause the situation that you’re speaking about

    @The Clay Way. Hi, hey I've had so many small issues with my 2010 Patriot. Seems like after I fix one thing, another issue pops up. Here's what I noticed about my Patriot. The TIPM has that ''Salvage Yard Yellow'' marker on the side, so that tells me the owner before me or someone they paid to fix the vehicle installed it.
    At any rate, I'm wondering if the following issues may be because of this TIPM is bad. ***1: The 4WD! Warning Light still comes on at the 1.0 mile mark every time I start the vehicle & drive it.*** Now after I fixed the shift lever popping out of Drive, by removing the air filter canister and adjusting the cvt transmission shifter cable, where it connects to the top of the trans. ***2: The horn stopped working*** and ***3: The right side Headlight quit working.***The Bulb is good but I've read this is an issue with Patriots. ***4: Sometimes the ABS & Traction Control Lights come on.*** I have new rear Hub Assemblies, w/ new Speed Sensor Cables installed. I suppose I should take it in locally to see if the front Speed Sensors are bad. Other than that, I'm wondering if all these issues are tied to the TIPM, which could have a bad board &/or some bad relays on one of the PCB's....

      I was certain that I had video about this exact problem but I can’t seem to find it
      Anyways on the driver side of your vehicle below your headlight look down there you’re going to see a small fuse box it’s about 6 inches long and it seems really out of place open up the fuse box and pull the two relays that are closest to the tire on the very end and see if they are broken off.
      More than likely they’re corroded from water getting up in there and you will need to cut and splice in new relays this is a very common problem with them vehicle so don’t bother trying to go to the junkyard and get another fuse box it will probably be defective
      You can just quitesimply cut the wires from the back of it and wire in a new relay then cover it very well with electrical tape and you probably won’t have an issue any longer with them things that you’re speaking about.

      @@sharpcarco So just wire directly to each relay. I did open that box in July and it did look clean but I assume that the corrosion is in the plugs that go into the box.

    • @sharpcarco
      @sharpcarco  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can takeoff the back of the relays and see if the wires are corroded if they’re not corroded don’t do anything with it it’s something else but that’s where I would look first and yes you would wire the relay directly to the wires I could’ve swore I did video on this but I could not find it

      @@sharpcarco Yeah, I'm still looking for it. On one of your older videos from 2018 but all it shows is a quick screen shot of the relay box as you move across the top over to the TIPM. It's decent out today so I'll go out and mess with it. I already know that I have a ground that's keeping the passenger side headlight from working. That ground bundle to the left of the engine down on the lower body. Like 10-12 wires with corrosion on them... Thanks for getting back with me....

    • @montydaniels1054

      @@sharpcarco Today I looked and I can see 1 relay half assed taped up outside the relay box. I worked today on the passenger side of the Jeep and took off the wires from the grounding pigtail and so far tested 4 wires & found out why the passenger side headlight was out and why the brake light keeps coming on. Plus it seems like that 4WD! warning light is also grounded there as well, so hopefully that gets fixed as well. So far those were all from Corroded Ground wires. I'll replace the connector and also solder all those wires together before moving over to the drivers side and to the relays. But after those two area's I may invest in a refurbished TIPM but that will be the last of things to look at...

    What was the cause of your wipers staying ?

    • @sharpcarco
      @sharpcarco  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good morning Bart I’m very sorry I honestly do not remember. But I think it may have been the fuse box that was causing the problem because I do not remember putting a wiper regulator inside it. I wish I had more information have a great day sorry I could not be of more help

    Got a question sir. I have an 08 liberty and just got a replacement but is from a 2011. Will it be ok to use?

    • @sharpcarco
      @sharpcarco  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t specifically know the answer to that.
      My educated guess would be absolutely with about 99.9%
      The reason that I would think that is because 2008 was the first year for that body style and generally manufactures Will start improvements on functions about two years into a model run but generally we don’t see them improvements to all say like in this situation the 2012 model.
      I can tell you from experience that I don’t think plugging it in and checking it will hurt anything. Because voltage is voltage and they’re not going to change that.
      So I would say give it a shot see if it works

      @@sharpcarco i tried to call a local jeep dealer but the parts were closed so I called a different states jeep dealer with 2 hr difference lol. They said they are specific to year or something but it don't make sense. Be killing me doing so much research just to get the ac to work. Replaced the compressor and the clutch won't kick when putting in freon . Yes it put a vacuum on it. So then I checked power. At the plug it gets power but when plugged in the voltage drops which must be a bad diode in the tipm. Stupid design lol

    Hey Clay I have a 2012 liberty and the front turning singal do not flash but they turn on when I have the headlights on, they just don't flash when I use the turn signal, is it a bad fuse?

      @franklyn315 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I checked the fuse and its fine...also purchased new bulbs for the front turning signal

    • @sharpcarco
      @sharpcarco  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Francisco more than likely off the top of my head it would be the flasher which is kind of like a relay for the blinkers. Honestly I’m not certain what kind of system Jeep uses because I’ve never had that problem or paid attention but ask for a blinker flasher and see what the parts store says
