Saw BS on his farewell tour..........HANDS DOWN, best show I have ever seen! He paid homage to many of the rock icons, both past and present, with pictures of them on the back drop. When BS came out on the stage the entire crowd stood up and did not sit down the entire time this man played hit after hit after hit. I had actually forgotten this artist had so many hits. He had an entire entourage of folks up on that stage (I believe I counted 13). It was an AMAZING concert! Great reaction as usual.
I saw him early in ‘75 with Bachman Turner Overdrive just 5 or 6 rows back and he was great! It would have been nice to see him sometime in the last 10 -15 years to hear all his new music live!
I agree--I saw him once in the late 70s or might've been early 80's -and he rocked our world! Since then have seen many other concerts, but Seger stands out as one of the most memorable concerts for me---even after all these years
@@schandmaske I cry at tunes all the time, man. Thanks for admitting it...(chuckle)...there are just SOME TUNES that are sob- or cry-worthy, ya know? Case closed, next case. Take it easy brother!
Saw Bob Seger and The Silver Bullet Band open for KISS in 1976, just before his big album Night Moves came out. Nobody in the crowd knew who he was, the show was on Cape Cod, Mass,, and this was the Destroyer Tour for KISS, so they were way hot. Seger and Band got an encore, as an opener, very unusual, especially for an unknown band. And a testament to how great they were.
Saw the same tour right after the album came out, we didn't know who he was till his hit song that was climbing the charts was played. I swear the whole Capital Centre went "Oh!! this guy" We brought him back for three encores... as the opening act, He was on fire that night
Man that is awesome! I'm a huge KISS fan and that was such a great year to see them. I would've loved to see Seger on the Stranger In Town tour. Great f'n times!
One thing is certain, you can't go wrong with Bob Seger. Although this isn't my favorite it's certainly well above average for most other singers.Great reaction guys and gals! 😊
I have been to well over 500 shows in my life...Bob and Pink Floyd are my top 2 performances...I will never forget seeing this song live...13 folks in the band.... absolutely professional.
Bob is a classic rock GOAT. Growing up and listening to late '70s and '80s radio, Bob's songs were played at least twice an hour. Attend one of his shows and you will recognize every song as a massive hit. A truly great musician.
I'm just a dirty girl from the 70's and LOVE these songs! What a different time we lived. We liked the music dirty and raw. Power ballads are fantastic but we loved our growling dirty bands too!
It’s the Wah Wah pedal ( sometimes called the cry baby pedal) that makes that sound. Very popular in the late 60s and throughout the 70s. Feel Like a Number and Rock and Roll Never Forgets are two great songs from Bob Seger.
Looking back, I always passively liked Seger without ever really stopping long enough to fully recognize how great he really was. I'm glad that the universe gave me a second shot at appreciating him. I'm sure I'd have found other things to like. But I like liking this. Thanks for covering him guys.
I saw Bob Seger and The Silver Bullet Band in 1985 or 86 been to so many concerts alot of times I can't remember it til I here them and it just brings back great memories. Thank for your reaction. 👍
I saw Bob Seger about 15 years ago second row right in front of the guitar player. Awesome concert. Brad you're exactly right The name of that guitar sound effect that you're hearing sounds exactly like the effect itself. It comes from a foot pedal called a wha wha pedal Y'all are awesome 👌
My friend's and I saw Seger and the Silver Bullet Band in 1986 at Madison Square Garden. The concert was SO FANTASIC, we scalped the tickets and saw them again two days later at Brendan Byrne Arena, East Rutherford, NJ.
I do feel very lucky to have been able to go see these concerts every weekend through my late teens and twenties. Living in major metro area during the 70's and 80's had its benefits.
I was born in 1958 and grew up to the 60s and 70s and so on. You can tell how the music and singing evolved to how it is today. Back then there was no autotune or helpers to sing, it was all raw from the stomach and lungs and vocal talent. The 70s were that time when the music got harder and softer, very little synthesizer since that was new in the 70s. Bob Seger when he was on tour brought his family along, and it was not uncommon to see his chidren on stage with him now and again. Get choice lots of memories for me. Try "Her Strut" next Seger song..
Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band was my first concert. It was when this album came out and Night Moves became a hit. I was in Junior High. Great concert and good times!
70s was exactly that way, family , friends , fun and loving life and music , and enjoying being with other people and it was great time, and morally too for we really just sang about what is good and love, great songs of Jesus is Just alright, and Spirit in the Sky too. and all the Bob Segar great songs expecially Old Time Rock and Roll . the mood in 70s was so happy
"Come to Papa, I'll be your satisfier." This soulful song is about soothing a woman anytime she needs it by making her feel better as only a man can. 😂 Taking her away from her worries for a bit. LOL

@@ericsmith6615 a tremolo or vibrato bar on a guitar changes pitch and a wah wah pedal changes tone, pretty drastically. And to confuse things, they can be used simultaneously. A great wah wah example is the Theme from Shaft.
Yes, the guitar effect you are hearing is a Wah-Wah pedal, but it is usually just called a wah pedal for short. ...and now a days, there are different versions of them.. cause as guitarists have usually been looking for ways to make or create a unique sound or tone.... many have made or worked with techs to modify wah pedals to get different nuanced tones from them.

That guitar effect could've been an envelope filter or auto Wah pedal, but it was probably a standard Wah pedal. It's a great effect for lead and rhythm guitar playing. Bob Seger has such a great voice. The "Live Bullet" album is super good. I like his cover of "Bo Didley" that's on it.
This is the kinda song that makes me want to jump on my husband's lap! 😹 Always felt that soulful sexy vibe! A great one of his many great tunes.....😽💋🎶

Bluesy with soul and that guitar work was so good. Seger has a very deep catalog with hit after hit.

*Love this one...but sitting here waiting for you to react to his first hit from 1969; Ramblin' Gamblin' Man....followed by "Her Strut."*
I love his first album.
You have to do Ramblin Gamblin Man from his Live Bullet recording. It is absolutely the best!
Her Strut and Sunspot Baby are two MUST listen to songs of Seger's collection of awesome songs.
See the look on his face on that album cover… that's what Detroit attitude used to be like!
For a fun party (boogie) tune give "Rock And Roll Never Forgets" a listen. It's on the same album.
“Neck hair scruff”… Lex never disappoints 😂
About time someone reacted to this one. Great song by one of the best ever.
Brad is absolutely correct: wah-wah pedal. Also some clavinet (keyboard) in there.
"YEAH...., BOB SEEGER, .......Children"!!!!
