I lost family for 3 years reconciled but they still try to get me to come back every time I visit and they tell me my life is hard because Gods not blessing me and I need to get back etc it’s very manipulative.

As a worship leader ive seen this more now than ever before, especially in the youth. I believe this song is a message that calls Gods people above from the noise. And i think Steffany nailed it on the head. The awakening that needs to happen is a literal awakening. Its a generation putting down their phones in order to wake up and face the present; to stop running from it. To learn how to Walk with Jesus again in every moment. A generation that can worship past the veil of a planned out organized song list from their favorite artist 1 day a week. Pat- TH-cam decided to play this song for me in the midst of digging deep into grievances about my past and it went straight to my heart. I was thinking about being a kid in a room full of LEGO bricks, imagining a better, joy-filled place where people came together and loved one another, and realizing God was there in my midst, in my longing for eternity and to be loved. I took on responsibility for too much as a kid, trying to keep my family sane while doubting that anyone could love me for being me. Coming to God with who you are is a huge risk when you don't understand what love and nurture are. Coming to God on my knees or prostrate feels easier than coming to him open handed; knowing my own failures and weakness leaves me flattened, but letting God speak the truth that I am dearly loved, treasured, and the source of his immense joy lifts me up. Humility isn't thinking less of myself, it is thinking of myself less, and letting God build his love for me up way more and more. This is the MOST BEAUTIFUL, INSPIRATIONAL AND HEARTFELT SONG IN MY LIFETIME! I will be 60 on Monday, my Momma has Dementia and my kitty needs to go to Heaven tomorrow. My husband cannot cope with me having Multiple Sclerosis and multiple other medical issues. I have had such great difficulty communicating with him until Jesus whispered to me that he is only thinking about how my health affects him and not me. I am a very soulful, optimistic, loving and open woman. After hearing this song a week ago, my healing has begun. I can accept my husband’s lack of emotional support, lack of affection and his inability to communicate. I have handed him over to Jesus and as such, Let Go. The human heart is such a fragile yet sacred place. After years of being stuck in my own head- fighting voices of shame and self criticism, my heart is finally awakening to the depth and width of God's love.Traumatic experiences can really scar a person but knowing that truly nothing can separate us from His love is most liberating! Really need to hear this today with lock down due to COVID 19, it's sucks when you face challenges and you understand that it's not all about you but God the almighty. It's took me a lot of time to realize that I was the only one who run away from him because I had other God that I was worshipping ( work, family and so on ) and he was not the first lover of my Soul anymore. But while I was facing Dead in the end of May 2020, almost dying from pulmonary embolism and pneumonia, there alone in the intensive care so far from my loved ones. Only Jesus save me and rescue me from Dead. Now this is where I am here you are . Yeah I let out the sails of my heart to you Jesus. Please forgive me and restore me. I terribly need you in my life. So while in Mozambique this summer #HS28, We were told that we would have to leave the country. After only 2 weeks we had to depart to South Africa. The theme that Jesus gave leadership instructing us to leave was catching the wind. Jesus was asking us to raise our sails, and letting the sails of our boat catch the wind. Few years ago, I was pretty much getting my life back with God and this song I had been listening to....I fell in love even more. Went to sleep one night, and I woke up and the Love of God was all around me.....I couldn't stop thinking of this song and I felt an impression to write a poem....this is what I wrote...... Sails I was stuck and stranded on a sea of misery, I sent up a flare to see if there was any help out there for me, The tattered and torn sails of my heart blew open from the wind of God's unfailing Love, Which sent me sailing into the night with the only Light in sight, the One above, He shined down and peace comfort did surround and the chains that had me lost and bound fell down around and now I'm found, He reached down and purpose and plan were in His hand, A holy destination was in demand as I took a step of faith and my foot hit the sand, On shore and sure to be free from broken boat and foamy sea, This wonderous place of mercy and grace, Heaven, will surely be forever and ever my home to me. Through this song, God has told me to stop trying to control the ship, set loose the sails, and come to sit and enjoy the journey with him. I am a loving father, a friend that will never leave nor forsake you, and there is nothing that you can do to change that." I had this play at my moms civil funeral, I had to Pick 5 songs and this is what I really needed, it has been a month since I lost my Mom and a week later my dad. My mom lived in Sweden and could not make it back to see her for 10 years. I feel horrible I could not hold her before she passed. I know in my heart she is in heaven and my dad. I just discovered this song and all I can say is WOW! God’s timing is always perfect and again he proves it with this song. Recently I have been crush by things outside of my control, and instead of wallowing in pity, I’ve been holding onto God and claiming his promises. My spiritual growth has been unbelievable. I am so blessed to hear such amazing singers. I struggle as a worshipper to find people who understand worship the way I do. Feel it the way I do! I know that I have been created to worship in a way that just lets the Lord be the absolute center of my words when I sing to Him but struggle with the restrictions of churches visions of worship. This is my most favourite song right now in this time of my life. I am consumed by shame from choices made in 2010, I didn’t realise until last night ‘why?’ I just feel so distant from God & don’t spend the time with Him that I used to, He has shown me that I’m like a little child hiding from Him & has told me in the past I’m to forgive myself but I realise I’ve allowed shame to come and consume me and I’ve been hiding from Him. This song has put life into me & opened my mouth to worship which is the thing I love more than anything in life...my health has deteriorated so badly too since 2010 that i think after seeking God etc for so long for healing I accepted the lie that I deserve to be sick. I lost family for 3 years reconciled but they still try to get me to come back every time I visit and they tell me my life is hard because Gods not blessing me and I need to get back etc it’s very manipulative.

I feel like this pierces directly into the giant wall that stands around my generation, Especially the modern church culture. Its a culture with everyone is hiding behind a mask/facade, and is drowning in a sea of constant distraction and attention appeasement. As a worship leader ive seen this more now than ever before, especially in the youth. I believe this song is a message that calls Gods people above from the noise. And i think Steffany nailed it on the head. The awakening that needs to happen is a literal awakening. Its a generation putting down their phones in order to wake up and face the present; to stop running from it. To learn how to Walk with Jesus again in every moment. A generation that can worship past the veil of a planned out organized song list from their favorite artist 1 day a week. Pat- TH-cam decided to play this song for me in the midst of digging deep into grievances about my past and it went straight to my heart. I was thinking about being a kid in a room full of LEGO bricks, imagining a better, joy-filled place where people came together and loved one another, and realizing God was there in my midst, in my longing for eternity and to be loved. I took on responsibility for too much as a kid, trying to keep my family sane while doubting that anyone could love me for being me. Coming to God with who you are is a huge risk when you don't understand what love and nurture are. Coming to God on my knees or prostrate feels easier than coming to him open handed; knowing my own failures and weakness leaves me flattened, but letting God speak the truth that I am dearly loved, treasured, and the source of his immense joy lifts me up. Humility isn't thinking less of myself, it is thinking of myself less, and letting God build his love for me up way more and more. How lovely and messy it is to unfurl the sails and let God fill them, wherever that might lead! Thank you for your vulnerability in song form and taking me back to the grace of Jesus.

This is the MOST BEAUTIFUL, INSPIRATIONAL AND HEARTFELT SONG IN MY LIFETIME! I will be 60 on Monday, my Momma has Dementia and my kitty needs to go to Heaven tomorrow. My husband cannot cope with me having Multiple Sclerosis and multiple other medical issues. I have had such great difficulty communicating with him until Jesus whispered to me that he is only thinking about how my health affects him and not me. I am a very soulful, optimistic, loving and open woman. After hearing this song a week ago, my healing has begun. I can accept my husband’s lack of emotional support, lack of affection and his inability to communicate. I have handed him over to Jesus and as such, Let Go. I will be going to the most beautiful place on earth after my sweet Tiger makes his journey home. I am going to Sedona. The feeling of HIS presence is astonishing. I will take this journey alone and hope to do some serious soul searching. After all, 32 years together, 29 married, will be a challenge to walk away from.

The human heart is such a fragile yet sacred place. After years of being stuck in my own head- fighting voices of shame and self criticism, my heart is finally awakening to the depth and width of God's love.Traumatic experiences can really scar a person but knowing that truly nothing can separate us from His love is most liberating! Opening one's heart to give and receive love takes much courage; only He can truly give. I'm realising more and more how numb we can be if we don't let the Lord in for every step of the ride. We can bury our heartache and become unfeeling towards life, only to trip on it one day. Let out the sails of my heart...opening up our hearts entirely to Jesus. Letting Him into those places that we don't want anyone to see, anyone to know about. But, when we're completely open with Jesus it allows Him to heal us, to set us free, it also allows us to accept, and walk in the incredible LOVE He has for us.

It's took me a lot of time to realize that I was the only one who run away from him because I had other God that I was worshipping ( work, family and so on ) and he was not the first lover of my Soul anymore. But while I was facing Dead in the end of May 2020, almost dying from pulmonary embolism and pneumonia, there alone in the intensive care so far from my loved ones. Only Jesus save me and rescue me from Dead. Now this is where I am here you are . Yeah I let out the sails of my heart to you Jesus. Please forgive me and restore me. I terribly need you in my life. Yeah I messed up everything but not with you anymore. I love you Jesus. Thanks you guys for the song. Be blessed.
So while in Mozambique this summer #HS28, We were told that we would have to leave the country. After only 2 weeks we had to depart to South Africa. The theme that Jesus gave leadership instructing us to leave was catching the wind. Jesus was asking us to raise our sails, and letting the sails of our boat catch the wind. This is timely and beautiful.

Few years ago, I was pretty much getting my life back with God and this song I had been listening to....I fell in love even more. Went to sleep one night, and I woke up and the Love of God was all around me.....I couldn't stop thinking of this song and I felt an impression to write a poem....this is what I wrote......
Sails
I was stuck and stranded on a sea of misery,
I sent up a flare to see if there was any help out there for me,
The tattered and torn sails of my heart blew open from the wind of God's unfailing Love,
Which sent me sailing into the night with the only Light in sight, the One above,
He shined down and peace comfort did surround and the chains that had me lost and bound fell down around and now I'm found,
He reached down and purpose and plan were in His hand,
A holy destination was in demand as I took a step of faith and my foot hit the sand,
On shore and sure to be free from broken boat and foamy sea,
This wonderous place of mercy and grace, Heaven, will surely be forever and ever my home to me.

I praise God for this song, there are a lot of things going on that is causing me to be fearful and easily discouraged. Through this song, God has told me to stop trying to control the ship, set loose the sails, and come to sit and enjoy the journey with him. "Don't worry about where the waves take us, just know that wherever you go, I am going with you. I am a loving father, a friend that will never leave nor forsake you, and there is nothing that you can do to change that." So, my brothers and sisters, I'm here to say that God and I are going on a journey, I'm not sure where this journey will take us but the joy, hope, and strength that I receive knowing that our final destination is eternal life, makes the journey worth traveling. Don't give up my brethren for the latter days shall be greater than the former and the day that our Lord and Savior comes to receive us unto him will be a day of great rejoicing. Praise be to The Lord that we are together through eternity. Feeling heartbroken and blessed too. Hearing his last breath was a gift for he is no longer suffering.

I just discovered this song and all I can say is WOW! God’s timing is always perfect and again he proves it with this song. Recently I have been crush by things outside of my control, and instead of wallowing in pity, I’ve been holding onto God and claiming his promises. My spiritual growth has been unbelievable. I literally cried with joy listening to this song. I love towards the end, “This is just the beginning of a new way of living with you.” That’s my promise to God for the rest of my life!

This is my most favourite song right now in this time of my life. I am consumed by shame from choices made in 2010, I didn’t realise until last night ‘why?’ I just feel so distant from God & don’t spend the time with Him that I used to, He has shown me that I’m like a little child hiding from Him & has told me in the past I’m to forgive myself but I realise I’ve allowed shame to come and consume me and I’ve been hiding from Him. This song has put life into me & opened my mouth to worship which is the thing I love more than anything in life...my health has deteriorated so badly too since 2010 that i think after seeking God etc for so long for healing I accepted the lie that I deserve to be sick.
