Maya the Psychiatric Service Dog he is very good at ignoring people. Often someone will come up and try talking to him and he will just look the other way. And then when he thinks they’ve gone he’ll look at me and ask for a treat. I love that. Thanks for watching and have a great day!
Hello, I just came across yours & Yorks' TH-cam channel & it's wonderful. I myself am legally blind in one eye. Vision is impared in my "good" eye. I have a deteriorating eye disease, & while my vision isn't as good as it once was, I'm thankful overall, that it's decent enough right now. I cried upon watching one of your first videos. This is the third video I've seen & I intend to binge watch the others. Thank you for being so descriptive, upon filming each one, too! You hit the nail on the head, when you described feeling isolated & feeling like others don't understand what you're going through. It's clear you don't let anything slow you down though, & that's awesome! I wish I could be half as positive as you are about things, haha. Seriously though, you are an inspiration, your wife Kerry is a superwoman too, & of course York is the best boy! Thank you, so much for creating this channel, & being so open & honest while sharing your life with us. Happy Holidays to you guys!

Brittany white I was diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa when I was twelve years old so I have always been vision impaired but only legally blind for about the last twenty years. My eyesight in the last five years has really deteriorated so I don’t have much left at all. But York has made an enormous difference to me and I’m more Active now than I have been for a long time. Thanks for watching I hope you have subscribed as there are some new videos coming out in the new year. Cheers
You're very welcome. That's very noble of you for wanting to make a difference. I was diagnosed with Myopic Degeneration at age 16. I'm 30 now. Growing up with it& dealing with sight loss myself, has been rough.Try as they might, good intentions all, sighted people just can't understand what those of us who struggle with vision issues deal with. On a happy note though, both you & I have wonderful, devoted partners who've come into our lives to support & help us with everything. They're extraordinarily special. Finding your channel& watching your videos has lifted my spirits quite a bit. I've read a few of the comments on your videos & I've seen I'm not the only one you've impacted. Again, thank you & Kerry too, for creating your channel. I'm sorry to hear your Retinitis Pigmentosa has taken so much from you. But glad you're still able to enjoy life & have gained your independence back having York in your life. If my vision deteriorates any more, I'll definitely be looking into getting a guide dog. I've always connected to animals much easier than I have to people. Dogs especially,are blessings. Anyway, I've subscribed to your channel & look forward to updates.
Seems all good guide dog handler do their Christmas shopping for their dogs at Kmart! My boy Dudley didn’t like the octopus! But everybody loved the glittery red bow with Bell that is sitting on his harness! You might remember that myself and Liz Wheeler had one on our handles with our dogs earlier this month!
hi steve :) yorks brother yorric says merry christmas! and can i share those toys i got so excited when i heard the squeakers!! my name us anthony and yorric is my guide dog and ive been told york and yorric are brothers! my boy is black and we live in port macquarie! would love to have a family reunion oneday if your keen!
Anthony Mahr York says Merry Christmas to Yorric but he’s not too sure about sharing his toys. A reunion would be great one day if you’re down here in the South Coast or we’re up there.
