Even though he was in a minor slump when the strike came down, I would have loved to see what Griffey's final numbers in '94 would have been. People always look back on his Cincy years as what might have been, and rightfully so, but I look back on his mid 90s years and think the same. In the 1994 year came the strike, in '95 he broke his wrist and missed most of the year and in '96 he hit 49 homeruns in 139 games. These were his peak years he missed significant time that hurt his career production. Its a shame too cuz I don't think its a stretch to say we were looking at 5 straight seasons of 50+ home runs which had never been done.
1995, postseason baseball saved Seattle baseball, and then they got their new stadium approved because of it. 1998, postseason baseball saved San Diego baseball, and then they got their new stadium approved because of it. If only Montreal had a magical postseason like those two teams had, maybe Montreal would have gotten a new baseball stadium, attendance would have improved, and the Expos would have stayed. 1993, 1994, 1996, 2002, 2003, were just heartbreaking for Montreal.
Braves games on TBS then turn over to Baseball Tonight on ESPN.
Miss those days

The day after O.J.
Man seeing Montreal as one of the top teams. The strike ruined baseball in Montreal
If the strike never happened, the team would still be in Quebec.
@@drewzuhosky6826 Totally Agree with you on that.
