Really impressive! I like Wigfrid's rework a lot, but I'm a bit saddened that so much of her power is gatekept behind getting a restrained static, feels like she goes from 0 to 100 in a single step instead of having a smoother rise in power.
It's not really, the static adds two things to the spear, 20 planar damage, and the ability to recharge after doing the spin. Even the base elding spear is pretty good.
@@radicaljoedst1365 - 20 planar damage - spear repairs on dash - dash cooldown reduced by 50% - move speed increased by 20% while holding it - durability increased from 150 to 200 That's 5 advantages, in 1 single step. The base elding spear is pretty costly, its only real redeeming quality is that the dash doesn't use durability and can very easily farm birds or rabbits.
@@dwight3555 I think gate keeping it behind restrained static isn't so bad. Let's not forget that Wigfrid literally spawns with an advantage already: A helm, a spear, 25% dmg increase and 25% defence. That's already a lot. You can rush ruins early with her (Probably top 5 ruins rusher), kill werepig and bam you have mid-game Wigfrid already (Within the first autumn). Even if you take it relatively easy you could get the restrained static by spring or early summer. It's much slower than maxing Wanda, Maxwell, Wendy, Wormwood, and most characters but it's stil probably faster than Wurt. With all the benefits you mentioned, being able to hit almost as hard as mid-age Wanda when dry and old Wanda when wet is worth it. Even with Bone armor and a thucelite crown a late-game hound attack plus Vargs can still put you in a lot of trouble. Never with an elding spear 2.
@@cheesedust-n3w Gatekeeping the final form sure, but that the weapon goes from bad to incredibly amazing in one single step is a missed opportunity in my view. A smoother progression of upgrades would feel better I think, maybe requiring the electric trinkets you get from the Ruins for example. Just dividing it into a few steps so you don't get all 5 upgrades at the exact same time.

With enough planar damage, could you just... Destroy toadstool in his phase where he summons trees? I suppose that's just a thing that wouldn't make any sense for the difficulty imposed on yourself.
the thing with planar damage is that there is no way to boots it % based, all the planar items and weapons are designed to have a certain cap, since the point of planar is rebalancing op damage late game, planar weapons are also, typically, designed to not be much more powerful than existing late game items

Planar damage doesn't go through damage reduction like Toadstool's, Enraged Klaus's or Weremoose/Wigfrid.
